Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Old Puerto Vallarta

Posted Aug 14, 2017
Pros: The colorful rooms with authentic Mexican decor, friendly staff, can't say enough about the view of the bay from the terrace specialty at night.
Cons: 1. Entrance to the hotel lobby, can be a challenge, wide steps need to be build to improve the entrance to the hotel 2. More reliable Wi-Fi
Location: The city center and Malecón are just a few minutes away.
We recently completed an eight day stay at Luna Líquida, although we spend a good portion of our stay in Puerto Vallarta exploring the city and the surrounding towns, the time we did spend in the hotel was great. We enjoy the beautiful sunsets view from the ocean view terrace. Very nice breakfast served by attentive staff, everything was freshly made.

Great hotel and experience in Puerto Vallarta

Posted Aug 5, 2017
Pros: Everything was fantastic. Especially noticeable was how great all of the hotel staff was.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Lots of things to do, because this hotel is located practically in the heart of El Centro. Everything in Vallarta is within a 10 minute walk away.
We loved everything about staying at Luna Liquida. All of the staff was fantastic and genuinely nice and helpful. There are hotel staffs that provide good service, but then there are hotel staffs that provide a genuinely friendly and helpful service that is simply a cut above- and the staff at Luna Liquida definitely are in the latter. They were wonderfully helpful with daily functions and was always wonderful to interact with. The hotel amenities are great as everything we needed for a comfortable stay (and retreat from the super hot Vallarta summer) was available. There is a nice pool and sunbathing area at the top level of the hotel, which comes with a fantastic panoramic view of the entire Romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta. The top level of the hotel is a great place to have breakfast, as it offers a nice view and peaceful setting to enjoy some coffee. All in all, Luna Liquida is a fantastic hotel to base your stay in Puerto Vallarta, we would definitely stay again when we come back to Puerto Vallarta!

Quick, quiet, getaway to PV

Posted Jul 27, 2017
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The unique room setup. And it was great to be able to buy our own food/drinks and keep them in the kitchen.
Cons: The tub on our balcony was not a hot tub, so we felt guilty using water only to fill it for a night. But the hot tub on the rooftop was great!
Location: Walking distance to tons of restaurants, bars, beach, etc. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. It allowed you to escape the touristy resort areas
This was a quiet and peaceful hotel with awesome views of PV. We wanted a quick getaway and this checked all of the boxes for us. Our suite was a very spacious and clean. We had access to a sun room, outdoor patio chairs and our bedroom to relax. There were a few days where we literally spent most of the day hanging out by the pool and not even bothering to head down to beach. The rooms are all secluded from one another so there is a sense of privacy even with the communal kitchens and pool. You can spend your days in the chaos of other tourists and then escape up the hill to unwind at night. Check in/out was painless and we were provided with an upgrade after some confusion with the Expedia reservation. The only issue that some people may have is with the location. Since it is up the hill from the beach, there are plenty of steps that you need to climb to get back to the hotel (unless you took a taxi, but its not even 1/4 mile). We did not have a problem with this at all and actually found it fun to walk up after dinner and drinks. We would definitely stay here again and have been recommending it to all of our friends. Great value, location and staff!

Nice hotel, great location.

Posted Jun 29, 2017
It's a bit of a walk up from sea level, but worth it when you get there. It takes about 15 minutes, so not too taxing. We had a room with an ocean view, but spent most of our time on the rooftop in the pool. The views and the ambience are great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and will help you out with any requests. Going in rainy season is amazing. Never seen or heard thunderstorms like it.

Amazing and relaxing

Posted Jun 4, 2017
It was close to everything we wanted to do, the beach, the shopping and all the food. Everyone spoke of the steep hill but I didn't mind it and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Everyone was friendly and breakfast was amazing. The rooms are separated enough so I never really saw the other guests. That's what made it so relaxing. I am definitely coming back and only staying here!

Great little hotel with rooftop view of Vallarta

Posted May 21, 2017 on Orbitz
Hotel staff was great, very helpful. Onsite parking in closed carport for security. Room was great, very bright and comfortable. Beautiful Mexican accents. Hotel is located at the top of a steep hill, makes for superb views of the bay and city but might be difficult for those with limited mobility. Continental breakfast was perfect, had my coffee, fruit and toast overlooking Vallarta...must try their strawberry papaya jam!

Authentic and quiet Mexico retreat

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: There was literally nothing that I didn't like
Cons: Leave it the way it is
Location: I am a wanderer so it was a nice 10-15 minute walk to meet up with friends for dinner and drinks
This place was exactly what I was looking for when I read the reviews and it really only got better. I am a seasoned traveller and enjoy staying in the city centre. Luna Liquida has a beautiful church in the front that is illuminated at night that is a great reference point when you have had one too many tequilas. Find the church, walk up the hill... that easy! There are loads of steps so please don't check in and complain... it is all over the reviews. I like to be left alone when I travel and the staff provides you with what you need and stays clear. The staff is pleasant and full of great recommendations and history of the hotel.

Charming and quiet hotel with wonderful views

Posted Apr 16, 2017
We upgraded to the jr. suite called "la estrella" and the view was stunning. You get your own private terrace overlooking the cathedral where you can watch the beautiful sunsets PV is famous for. The hotel is walking distance to all the action but very quiet and peaceful when you want a place to relax. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who isn't physically fit given it's location half a kilometre up a steep hill.
