"Location Cool"
I was well taken care of, the first room was small. Guadalupe M. Ramirez/Hotel Manager move me to a better size. Outdoor space was good. Be sure to bring your towel from the room to use pool. I forgot mines and had to walk up 3 flights of stairs.

Spent some time exploring Old Vallarta. It had a cute pool and nice staff. If you had to spend 3 to 5 days, it's an amazing place for the cost. If you have to a couple weeks, then the noise from the Malecon is going to begin to bother you. This all depends on how long you stay in the room at night. They cleaned everything everyday, they changed the bathroom carpet every day, and they really tried to make it an enjoyable place to visit. The only problem was the noise from the Malecon boardwalk, and the water pressure was very hard to manage.

"Interesting local bed and breakfast. Very basic."
I did not mind the many stairs but some people may be put off by the steep climb up the hill to get to this place. Cars can not go up the hill so there is no choice but to walk. The stairs begin at the top of Aldama Street right at the spot where neighbourhood garbage is piled for Tuesday pickup - this garbage pile may also be off-putting for some people. I enjoyed my stay in this neighbourhood but for people looking for a quiet spot - this is not it. The neighbourhood is busy and noisy and neighbourhood children play on the street at all hours.

Pocket Guide: Downtown Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta Pet-friendly Hotels

Downtown’s cobblestone streets lead to historic landmarks, such as La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. A crown tops this church’s bell tower, a lasting reminder of the short-lived Mexican monarchy. By the water, Triton dons a sombrero atop a seahorse. Downtown is also known for art galleries, Museo Arqueológico, and Casa Kimberly, once a love nest for Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
