Great downtown location

Posted Oct 17, 2017
Pros: Location is central and walkable, rates reasonable. It was a comfortable place to return to at the end of a full day.
Cons: The front entrance (between cafe and coffee shop on Villita Street side) isn't obvious--an awning or something would make it easier to spot.
Location: Near Riverwalk and lots of historic sites, including Alamo and King William neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants in vicinity.
Location is within easy walking distance of many points of interest. Hotel has obviously been around for a while but room and halls are updated, clean, and well maintained (ceiling tiles the only element in room that looked a bit worn). Bed was very comfortable. Elevators require electronic room key to activate--a nice security feature. A coffee shop and cafe/bar are located on ground floor. I found staff friendly and helpful in all interactions. Room fridge was handy for snacks from nearby HEB neighborhood market.

You get what you pay for

Posted Oct 17, 2017
Was excited to find such a great deal close to the river walk but next time we will pay a little more. The room was very small, and dirty. There where someone else’s leftovers in the mini fridge stuff on the walls rust all in the bathtub and hair on the toilet. I’m not that picky but just walking in the room felt dirty.

outdated, needed to have a key to get anywhere

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Pros: location
Cons: could use a remodel, smells funny
Location: river walk super nice!
the key was a nice security measure, but the added security to me isn't worth it

Hotel staff very friendly and courteous . Building is old -musty smell -but clean -no continental breakfast , very noisy at night-(thin walls ) I could not sleep -could hear banging doors from rooms .

River walk Plaza

Posted Oct 10, 2017
Pros: Location, very close to the River Walk.
Cons: Bathroom doors.
Location: It was a short walk to everything. Perfect location for the price.
The staff was very nice and informative. The room was newly renovated but I found the bathroom door very weird and lacked privacy. If they could have a door that locks that would be much better. This door was a sliding door and that was just it.

Location was great, bed was nice, but the room we had was dirty, asked housekeeping to clean and still they missed the bug on the floor and the coffee that was spelt on the floor at the door for three days. The staff at check in and out was friendly and helpful! The bar and the restaurant was great.

Great price but very old and outdated hotel!

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: Close proximity to Riverwalk and the diner/bar behind the hotel.
Cons: Everything besides the staff.
Location: Riverwalk
The staff is amazing and very friendly, but unfortunately everything else was falling apart and is SO outdated! Pictures on the website are definitely retouched!

Rooms are old, need modernized.

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: Staff was friendly & helpful.
Cons: Modernize rooms.
Tub stained and faucet leaks. Balcony floor paint peeling and coming off on the bottom of your shoes. Track inside. Patio door didn’t lock. Bathtub shower hard to figure out how to use. Water pressure poor. $17.99 a night to park in the hotel garage is ridiculously high. No valet parking either. For that price it should have been included.
