This was my third time staying at the Omni, and likely my last. Without knowing while booking, the pool, hot tub and restaurant were all closed due to maintenance. Then, a computer malfunction meant were had no room keys — a staff member had to walk you to your room, or gym, each and every time. A maid knocked on my door at 9 am (woke me up) to ask if I wanted my room cleaned, then after I showered and left, the room was never cleaned. When I told the desk they said they’d have it cleaned at night, but no soap, shampoo or coffee refills. The staff, in most part, did the best they could but the hotel “experience” was dismal. Add to the fact all the closed roads when the Padres play home games (Petco Park is right next door) made it too much of a hassle to get around. Despite all the “sorry for the inconveniences” the price remained fixed as if everything was working. It’s like getting a hamburger with no paddy! Sorry Omni, staying somewhere else next time.

Lots of construction there at the property. Their key system and other things were down but the staff was amazing to get people where they needed to go

Gym facilities are great. During remodel some facilities not available. Staff services and concierge are great. My room was upgraded but room is small for 3 adults no couch or microwave but concierge arranged for a microwave to be brought up. Full beds are comfortable but small. Plumbing needs to be redone as a definite sewer smell from p trap possibly in sink. Location to park and access is a plus! Good location.

Pool & Hot tub under major repair. For a full service 4 star hotel this is necessary when 4 star hotel prices are charged. The hotel should have mentioned. We stayed one night to honor our cancellation obligation and went elsewhere for 4 nights.

There was a lingering odor in the hallway carpet. The bathroom in our room did not appear to have vents. Barn door left no room for privacy with 4 women. Staff were extreme accommodating and pleasant. Loved the view

We arrived pretty late and there was only 1 valet parking attendant. We had to wait for a while. I didn’t like that. The pool was being worked on. It was closed but they gave us options on using another hotels pool. I liked that. Everyone was super courteous and super nice to my kids. Even received free teddy bear plushies from an employee at Fresco restaurant. So nice.

Liked the proximity of this location to downtown and conference centre. My maid, Justina, was so polite and very thorough cleaning my room. Marc assisted me with my suitcase which I was grateful since I could not easily carry it down on my own. It was under construction so was very noisy. Didn’t know this when I booked. I only got a message a week prior to my stay it was under construction. Would have been good to know before I paid to stay there extra. They were using a jackhammer right above my room so not relaxing at all. Also when I arrived the clerk didn’t give me the proper wifi address so I didn’t get it till I went down to ask why it wasn’t working. Also I didn’t find out until I checked out after 5 days that there were snacks up on the next floor since there was not a shop. I could have used a little sustenance. It’s all about communication.

I have stayed in this property quite a few times over the years and it has always been an excellent choice to stay in San Diego. Nowadays, the property is in really bad shape. The hallways on the 17th floor smell of sewage, the carpeting in our room was torn at different locations, the bathroom fixtures and mirrors are corroded and in bad overall condition. Beds are in bad shape, furniture has quite of bit of wear and tear, especially the shelves in the bathroom which really need to be replaced soon. After speaking with the front desk personnel regarding the issue, they informed me that the property is going to be fully remodeled this year. Do not stay there until the remodeling process is complete if you don’t want to be disappointed that you are paying $300 a night for a substandard property.

Reserved this hotel months in advance and paid a pretty penny expecting to get top tier experience as a gift to my wife. We get there and are told sky bridge is closed to the Petco park concert and that the pool is closed. Two key features that had convinced us to stay were automatically taken away. The room was as standard as a best western, mirror was peeling and trash cans had rust.

Paid a premium to stay at your hotel for a couple of reasons been there before enjoyed the pool and hottub AND the bridge to Petco soon received a lengthy email telling me neither was available then another lengthy email said the bridge would be available so at 6:30pm i left my room to find a Long line not really moving the choke point turned out to be an ELDERLY woman security guard whom was in charge of the only metal detector for hundreds of people most dressed in country attire large belt buckles and such needless to say led to me missing 3 of the 4 rodeo events i came to see the Grand entrance the bareback and steer wrestling missed em all because of poor planing poor execution and poor communication

Great stay
The Omni is a beautiful hotel and the room was cozy. We had a beautiful view of the Bay and Coronado Bridge. The hotel is conveniently located to all San Diego had to offer. The heart of the Gaslamp is right there. The only critique I have is the lobby could have been dusted a little better near the elevators.
