In the heart of downtown. Everything was clean,

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Reasonably priced elegance in the heart of downtown. Very comfortable bed and that is so important to me. The Grill restaurant inside the Grant is classic. The food delicious and plentiful, though a bit pricey .. $50 for a steak. But I had a carpaccio with caviar as an appetizer that was out of this world. Around $20.

Classic Elegance

Posted Aug 30, 2017
The Hotel staff is very friendly and hands on. They really try to help you with everything involving your San Diego stay. The hotel itself is elegant and classic. I had a small issue with a scent in one of the rooms but besides for that, I really enjoyed my stay. The beds were great and the room was always fresh and clean.

High Class Hotel near Holmes's park

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Pros: The old world charrm
Cons: Security surrounding the hotel and park across the street. They could use a swimming pool as well. No swimming pool on premises is a bummer.
Location: It's in the heart of downtown in the gas lamp district where all the nightlife is.
The hotel is beautiful but unfortunately it's located across from a park full of homeless people. Need more security in the surrounding area as you do not feel comfortable when you walk out the door. The maid service was just ok as they forgot to refill my tissues box 2 days in a row. The staff is very helpful and polite. It's more for business travelers than families.

Dear M Rick, Thank you for staying with us during your trip to San Diego and for providing your gift of feedback. Regretfully our current structure is not equipped to accommodate a swimming pool because of its historic nature. All our guests are welcome to use the swimming pool and changing rooms of our sister property across the street, the Westin Gaslamp Quarter. As for the homelessness, please be assured that the city of San Diego is doing its very best to address the situation.

Nice location

Centrally located - easily accessible. No parking facility. Only valet services - but expensive though compared to public parking rates.
