Great location

Posted Dec 27, 2017
We were here for onmy two nights, but it was perfectly comfortable. The bed was huge and very high which might be hard for a more elderly guest. The parking was close by but required hauling suitcases over a few steps. There could be better lighting on the walk leading to the unit. We didn't use the fireplace although it looked functional. The leather hide-a-bed couch in the living area is getting ready for replacement. Overall, a nice place in a great location with lots of character. We'd stay here again.

Great, quiet location. Renovated room. Will return

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Pros: late arrival perfectly arranged. Room was newly renovated
Cons: nothing.
Location: ten minute walk to downtown Santa Fe...2 minute drive. Quiet area.
The reviews on the hotel were mixed, so I called the hotel. Some rooms have older furnishings, others have been updated. I got an updated room and the experience was SUPER. Everything worked, was new, big kitchen, refrigerator, two LED TVs. No complaints.

Nice hotel with a great location

We had a wonderful time and the location was great. It was close to the Santa Fe Plaza and downtown. We had a lovely view of Santa Fe and the mountains from our room. It was comfortable and cozy. We recommend it.

Charming suite, nicely furnished, good location

Posted Nov 11, 2017
While an uphill walk from the Plaza, these condos are otherwise perfectly situated, near to the centre of town while away from the crowds. Our unit (91) was a one-bedroom adobe-style delight: beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable, and with a very well-equipped kitchen. Negatives? If, like us, you won't have a car, be aware that Santa Fe's bus system is limited, and Uber has driven out regular taxi service. But the Fort Marcy does have a shuttle bus to take you to and from the Plaza, which eliminates the climb back home, and from there everything is within easy walking distance or accessible via the town's free shuttle service around the centre and to important tourist sites like Museum Hill and the Canyon Road art galleries. Our favourite nearby restaurant was the Sena, in a charming courtyard just off the Plaza. All in all, our seven November days at the Fort Marcy were among the best we've experienced anywhere in the world.

Nice, quiet area

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Our condo was spacious. 2 bedroom 2.5 baths. Clean. Surprisingly quiet. You could not hear the neighbors at all. Very clean. Somewhat outdated but had a nice "Santa Fe" feel to it. We would definitely book here again if visiting this area. The leaves were also changing and the sunset views from our balcony were beautiful.

Dirty, and not as advertised.

Posted Oct 28, 2017
Pros: Nothing. DON'T STAY HERE.
Cons: Cleanliness. Management accountability. Consistency of room conditions, furnishings etc. Quality control.
Bedding was stained and dirty, carpet in bedroom also was stained. Staff member agreed, and stated "I wouldn't sleep in that bed." Management also stated that they were having trouble with their cleaning staff, who were not doing their jobs properly. They sent cleaning staff to clean the room again, but they NEVER REPLACED THE STAINED BEDDING. They could not offer another room because they were sold out; and refused to provide any kind of refund, partial or full. (The room was paid for in advance.) Expedia also was unable to help. Apparently the condo units are each privately owned and the furnishings and cleanliness of the bedding, etc. varies unit by unit. So you can never know what you are getting! In addition, I called prior to my arrival (months in advance) to request two queen beds, one in each of the two bedrooms, I was told on the phone that it was noted on my reservation and that it wouldn't be a problem. It was. Upon arrival one bedroom had to twin beds, and management stated they never would have guaranteed my request over the phone because the only assign rooms on an as available / first come first served basis per their policy. Yet, I was told otherwise when I called. They took no responsibility and only questioned my version of what happened. To date, no goodwill compensation has been made to us.

As you can see from our countless positive review this is not standard. I once again apologize for this lapse in product quality. It is not acceptable and is being used as a training tool. Unfortunately we can not been able to reach you to make it right. You booked under an internet site and we do not have your contact information. If you would please reach me Luis Bayardo GM at the property I will be happy to make all reasonable considerations regarding your stay.

Awesome place to stay

Posted Oct 26, 2017
Pros: Loved the whole condo - kitchen great, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Cons: Map to finding condo and parking
Our stay was perfect. The apt was roomy and comfortable. Upon arriving it was after hours. We checked in with the directions and that went well. However, the map provided wasn't very clear and it was dark with very little light and several buildings and parking areas. We couldn't find our room so called the check in person for directions and he was in Utah and not familiar with the area. Anyway, after searching and trying to figure out where to park and our room numerous and being frustrated we found the room and were pleasantly happy with it. I would recommend checking in during daylight. Be aware of time zone changes.

Pros: leaving
Cons: let the staff advise you.

When booking with an internet travel site it is always best to check in with the property before arrival to ensure all you requests are noted. We are sorry you had so much confusion with your reservation, it is our aim to never let this happen. If stairs are an issue we do have rooms with easy access all you have to do next time is let us know.
