Charming hotel near downtown Santa Fe

Posted Feb 14, 2018
The Sage Inn was wonderful! We encountered some car trouble during our stay and the staff was sweet enough to let us check out later! The rooms were cute and comfortable and the shuttle was super convenient!

Great Value, close to town

Posted Feb 12, 2018
Pros: room decor
Cons: No parking charge. Newer, firmer mattresses.
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from town, easy enough, but along a busy street. The rooms are done nicely, with local character. The bed was a bit too soft for us, and the bathroom quite small but great shower. Our room was located at the bottom of the stairs from the upper level of rooms, this meant that each morning we heard everyone who was leaving early talking and clunking their luggage down the steps. The breakfast is pretty standard. Bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs waffles, oatmeal, yogurt and cold cereal. Parking cost an addition amount per night. All of the staff were great. While not stellar, our stay met our needs perfectly and we would return.

Easy

Pros: Location, helpfulness of staff and comfortable.
Cons: More electrical plugs in the room and night lights.
Location: Location was great - near Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Also near Radish & Rye and that neighborhood. Close enough to the plaza as well as Meow and
This hotel was easy to get to - right off of St. Francis Drive - and near several neighborhoods we wanted to go to, as well as the restaurant Radish & Rye where we were eating. Close to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Perfect. The room was a little tight for two people but the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and the breakfast was adequate. Desk reservationist was lovely and very helpful with directions and suggestions.

I usually don’t leave comments, I read them and considering them. When you drive in to the hotel it looks very nice. They have a whole lparking lot that sorrounds the property inside their property so I wonder why they charge a $5 dollar fee nightly to park on their property. No other business is adjacent or attached. The room itself looks good. The beds were very comfortable. When it came to the bathroom that was lacking. The tub wouldn’t drain when taking a shower and the shower flow was low because the knob that switches the tub to shower was broken so when you turned the shower on water still came out of the tub spicket. The towels were so thin. I called maintenance the next morning for a light bulb and asked him to check the tub. The water drained a little better but the shower flow was the same. Their “Smart Breakfast” is exactly what you are thinking...I would advide going somewhere else for breakfast. Overall it was doable but i did cancel my upcoming reservation and I’m glad we experienced it now and we were able to cancel and book some where else more accomodating.

Hotel?

Posted Jan 2, 2018
Expedia like all booking sites, falls to disclose that this not a hotel--as rooms in a building--but a very old motel scattered over multiple two story buildings with no elevators. Big difference. While the property location and restaurant were decent, there was no disguising how old this complex is and the amenities were in a central building quite far from room complexes.

The most terrible inn I’ve been

Posted Dec 31, 2017
First of all, the price is ridiculous. Even though it is close to down town, I had to pay for parking ( $5 per day) and every hotel facilities looked old and latch. Second, hotel staffs are not friendly at all. On the first day, there was a fire early in the morning and I didn’t have water because of the fire. I asked the staff to give me another room and he said that there is only one room left “fortunately”. He added if you don't wanna move to the room, look for another hotel. I was so mad at the time cuz I couldn’t sleep well because of the fire of the last night and the rude attitude of the staff. Lastly, there was a funny smell on the pillow and there was a noise whenever I move in the bed. I would look for other hotel, not this one. I’m really hoping that my comment would be helpful.
