Great service, friendly staff, tiny room. The room was so small, as was the bathroom.

Great location and staff, OK room.

Pros: Great location, close to public transportation, walking distance to land marks.
Cons: Noise disturbance from rowdy/drunk people who staying next door or in the hallway.
Location: Visiting Seattle public library, Columbia center for Skyview observatory deck, Pike Place Market for food and world famous fish market.
Great location within a walking distance to Pike Place market, Seattle Central library, and Columbia center (Skyview Observatory deck). Don't rent a car if you stay within this area. Public transportation is available and conveniently accessible to Space Needles/Seattle Center. Free bottled waters each night of stay. Nice and pleasant staff. The downside is the room. If you have the right expectation, you'll be ok. Otherwise, I'd advise staying elsewhere. I stayed in the deluxe room (with one king bed) on the 2nd floor. The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was very small. If you weigh more than 180 lbs, you might have some difficulty getting to the toilet. Also, the bathroom's door has no lock. The walls were quite paper-thin. You could hear your neighbor plus outside noise if staying at the lower level. If you're a light-sleeper, I'd suggest staying elsewhere or use ears plugs. The 2nd floor was the worst in term of noise. During my stay, there was a noise disturbance at 2am from the room nextdoor (drunk/inconsiderate people), I had to call the front desk, requesting a security to calm them down. If you could tolerate an unusually small space in the bathroom and possibility of loud noise from people staying next door, you'd have a great time explore Seattle.

In the center of it all.

The hotel is in walking distance of everything in the city. However when trying to contact guest services the phone rang endlessly. I was not able to get our in room safe serviced or a shaving kit.

Pros: It's lovely to look at, feels great as soon as you walk in and has a classy boutique quality that is chic.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
Location: The downtown location is perfect. Central to everything. However I can't speak to what there is to do as I was only there overnight. Too bad.
Using Lyft (flawless) for the first time, we arrived at the hotel, a short ride from the Amtrak station only to discover that I had left my purse in either on a bench in the train station or the back seat of the Lyft car! You can imagine my horror and distress! Spring, the gal at the front desk and her associate, Thomas immediately mobilized on separate phones to begin the arduous task of tracking it down. In fact, dear Spring dispatched her boyfriend who was patiently waiting outside at the curb for her shift to end and take her home to zoom me back to the train station to race in and see if I could find it or hopefully collect it from lost and found myself. Now by any standard, that is way above and beyond in terms of customer service. That's human kindness and compassion. I doubt that comes from their training but I can also tell you that the staff has been well trained for their positions as well. They were, all three that I met, courteous, professional, attentive, well groomed and all-around pleasant as the first line of greeting at this lovely hotel. By the way - end of the story, my purse was in the Lyft cab who was kindly already on his way back to the hotel with my purse when he discovered it on the back seat. Amazing!

Hello Julie! Thank you so very much for the glowing review! This is Thomas actually! I remember you very well! And I appreciate the kind words very much. We pride ourselves on our customer service so I am very happy you were able to experience it first hand. I like to believe that the human kindness and compassion you experienced would have happened anywhere you went in this city, but I am so glad you came to the one place where it is guaranteed. I do hope that you can return to our property for a longer, leisure stay and we can really get to know you! Thank you again for taking the time to leave such kind words. Our reputation is everything. And if we can continue to deliver service that produces reviews such as this, I'd say we're looking pretty good! Please come back soon! -Thomas-

Room was very small and stuffy, the air conditioning didn't work, the hotel itself smelled old. The staff was wonderful and the accommodations around the hotel were bad wanted a nightcap and the lounge was closed at 11 and the W was packed with loud music and poor service
