Staff is very friendly. My rental car had a flat tire and they changed the tire for me.

Kimpton downtown Seattle

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: Greta location and staff! I love Monaco hotels.
The hotel staff were extraordinary, the best! The room was directly behind the elevator and when they were running it sounded like a subway in our room. I assume this is how Expedia negotiates lower prices. NOT WORTH IT!

Thanks for this valuable feedback! Rest assured, our Expedia guests have the same experience as any guest booking direct or otherwise and unfortunately we do have some rooms near the elevator. I'm sorry to hear the noise was an unpleasant disruption for you! Next time please let us know and we'll be happy to find a room more suitable. Thanks again!

Good Location Near Attractions

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Good location, nice lobby, friendly staff
Cons: The elevator makes this constant mechanical sound that I could hear all the time from inside my room.
Location: In Financial/Business district. 5-10 min easy walk to Pike Place Market. 20-25 min walk to Space Needle. Museums, restaurants, shops within 5-10 min.
The lobby is very pretty. The staff was good and attentive. The room was nice and comfortable. It was a quick 5-10 min walk to Pike Place Market, which was great, especially for excellent food for breakfast and lunch. You can either walk (20-25 min) or take the monorail near Nordstroms to get to the Space Needle and other main attractions. There is also a great running trail along the waterfront that is only about a ten min walk from the hotel. It is crowded around Pike Place, but less crowded for excellent jogging along the water further away. My only complaint is that I could constantly hear a mechanical whirring sound (I think from the elevator) from inside my room - even in the middle of the night. With earplugs I didn't mind it, but it was bizarre and something I've never experienced at another hotel. At first I thought it was construction equipment from outside. Elevators shouldn't really make that much noise. Otherwise, I had a great stay here.

Meredith - I greatly appreciate you sharing this valuable feedback and for the 5-stars. Thank you! Although the majority of your stay sounded as if it was pleasantly memorable, I am sorry to hear of the noise issue you experienced. I'm glad the earplugs helped, and thanks for letting us know. See you next time!

Great boutique hotel close to Pikes Market

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: See above
Cons: See above regarding the Visitor Information person who sits by the complimentary coffee and water in the lobby. Perhaps she was having an off day.
Location: Very central close to market, lots of restaurants, the really lovely library building. Very central indeed.
This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Market and waterfront. It is a hilly city so be prepared. Spring Avenue is at quite a steep grade. Walk overt to Pike Street - it is less steep incline. The hotel restaurant is excellent as well. The front doorperson and front desk staff are superbly friendly. The woman sitting at the information desk however was less than helpful when we asked about a map simply pointed to it with a grunt. No offer to have us ask questions or ask us if we wanted to see something in particular. She seemed quite frankly perturbed. We had never been to Seattle and found it off putting. That being said, the front desk was excellent and our room superbly clean, close to the elevator but not noisy at all. A lovely old refurbished hotel in the centre of town. Would come again. BTW when we came down the next morning, as we had taken the last map of the city - there were still none replaced so others visiting were out of luck. Not a good thing to promote Seattle tourism. Just sayin.....

JR - thanks so much for your business and for sharing your detailed experience with us. Great stuff! I am sorry your interaction with our concierge wasn't quite up to the norm. We receive many wonderful comments about her so in agreement with you, perhaps an off day but still, our apologies. Hopefully you'll give us another shot and enjoy the full Monaco Seattle experience from top to bottom. Thanks again!

Close to water front

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Pros: Location, reception, great evening snacks and wine and much more.
Cons: Parking system.
Location: It is right in the downtown and is very close to water front, pike market, restaurants and space needle.
Everything in the hotel was clean and in great condition. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space. Starting from the reception until we checked out, it was a very pleasant experience.
