Beautiful Hotel

It is a beautiful hotel and we booked a club suite with a terrific view. My only critiques are the beds are not as comfortable as they could be...and for this level of hotel, they should be. Also, given the size of the suite, the bathroom was extremely tiny, it was startling in comparison to the rest of the suite. The staff are great, the rooftop bar and grill was terrific!

Comfortable, modern,eclectic. Great bar,cool decor

Pros: Location
Cons: Bigger bathroom.
Location: Stopped here overnight on drive back from east coast to Chicago. Did not explore the city of Toledo.
Wish parking garage was on site. It is down the block, across the street.. Valet parking available.

Misleading

We got the package that included "free breakfast" and when we checked in they gave us a card that we were supposed to give the restaurant. All that got us was $20 off and considering they charge $4 for a glass of OJ (not fresh squeezed or anything), that didn't even cover half. I will say everything was delicious but the way its advertised is misleading. Also, the shower was only lukewarm at the hottest setting. I expected more when paying $234/night in Toledo, Ohio. Otherwise, it was a very nice hotel.

Direct TV so couldn't watch OSU football game. And also very loud party till late in the morning well after midnight.

Good view, poor response to false fire alarm

During my stay we had a fire alarm go off after going down seven flights of stairs with two young children/babies we made it to the first floor with people just staring at us like we were crazy. I had to search for an employee to ask what was going on , They laughed and said oh false alarm. I personally did not find it funny that I rushed down seven flights of stairs in my pajamas and had to search for an explanation. Upon returning to a room the gentleman across the hall who had a physical disability was stuck in the hallway trying to figure out how to get down the stairs, we had to explain to him that the fire alarm was a false alarm. We then called the front desk and someone came to let him back in his room they were unapologetic and joking with him " ha ha looks like you got locked out." I found this to be disrespectful and unacceptable, as he as well as my family were a little shaken after thinking we needed to evac I later ordered room service and the menu listed it as chicken salad with cranberries and honey mustard on a brioche bread but I received what basically like mayonnaise chicken and a little celery. I was disappointed that it was nothing like the menu. However The next morning while checking out and complaining I was comped the meal and the M&Ms my son bought the day before. Although I appreciate them doing that I felt like my overall experience was poor and I will not be returning nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone else. but hey the view is great!

One Complaint

Pros: Location
Cons: Food. New chef with more Americanized food.
Location: Did not leave the hotel.
Only complaint was a wall eye dish at dinner that was awful. Roof top bar and wood fired pizza was great. Bed was very comfortable.
