Great Hotel, expensive parking & WiFi not included

Posted Nov 14, 2017
The room and service were great. The parking was extremely expensive compared to the room charge. Felt a little like a bait and switch. WiFi was not included with the room charge either. Really, extra charges for WiFi?

Very expensive poor experience

Posted Nov 14, 2017
We were attending a wedding at the fairmont so thought we’d get a room for the night. Wedding venue was beautiful hotel stay less then pleasing. Arrived after check in time. Room wasn’t ready and apparently there were no other equivalent rooms available. They gave us what I’d say to be the oldest room in the hotel but said we would get drink vouchers and complimentary parking. Neither ever arrived. We went back down to the front desk and requested another room. Overall very disappointed in our stay. Best part was the recommended restaurant next door.

Hotel itself was nice

Posted Nov 11, 2017
What they failed to tell me is that the WiFi wasn’t free and it was 62.00 dollars a night for parking! I will never stay there again. It was clean and in a prime location.

Great location for business

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: Room was quiet and good for working in.
Cons: Parts of the hotel are being renovated, which is good because some areas need it.
Location: Almost anything on Robson is great.
I stayed here to attend a conference at the convention centre. This Fairmont is in a great location and within walkable distance of many great restaurants for meals/meetings.

Nice hotel close to downtown.

Posted Oct 28, 2017
Pros: Convenient to amenities.
Cons: Parking security.
Location: Accessible by foot to restaurants & shopping.
We have an ongoing issue with the security & parkade. Depending on how it is dealt with our recommendation may change.

Last minute booking at a favourable price.

Posted Oct 24, 2017
Pros: Clean, luxurious and close to transit and shopping
Cons: I am a very light sleeper so the continuous ventilation fan noise was annoying but once I put earplugs in, it was fine.
Location: Fabulous location near shopping, fabulous dining and transit. You can travel anywhere around metro-Vancouver from this location.
I won tickets to a major event in Vancouver and since I live on Vancouver Island I had to book a hotel that was close to transit. Bringing a vehicle to Vancouver from the Island is extremely costly and I would also have to pay for parking while in Vancouver. I knew the Fairmont Vancouver might be more costly but I was familiar with the bus from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal and knew it stopped at the hotel and the Burrard Street Sky Train was just across the street so we could easily travel to the event I had won tickets for. The price of our room was comparable to others we have stayed in but the quality and luxurious decor was definitely worth the price. I will definitely book at this hotel in the future.

Want to treat your pups to a luxurious downtown vancouver experience? Well you sure can at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver! We have two 100 pound dogs, and they were welcomed with open arms and dog treats. There is a green space 1 min away, and even a doggie ambassador at the hotel! Everything else was great too. Amazing hotel close to everything.

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Pros: Everything, from the bed, to the linens, to the carpet. Perfect.
Cons: The shower leaks onto the floor and should be fixed, some towels have holes and should be inspected more often, otherwise, the room is perfect.
Location: Fabulous restaurants, all within walking distance or a short cab ride.
