DONT GET A ROOM ABOVE THE BAR!

Pros: Location
Cons: Soundproof Windows.
First, we were not notified that this hotel was doing renovations. Our hallway was getting drywalled and sanded. Lots of vacuuming and dust. Not impressed. A heads up on the website would have been good. At 2am we awoke to approximately 15 bar patrons empty out of the bar below our 2nd floor window and continue their party on the sidewalk directly below our window. After 15 min I phoned the front desk. It was another 40 minutes after that that the party finally moved on. I found out the next day this is a regular issue. Then if it happens all the time be pro-active and send your security person over at closing time to ensure your guests get what they paid for, a good nights sleep! Maybe consider upgrading the windows. I told the front desk about our stay and they waived the $20 parking charge. Seemed like standard procedure for the clerk, not too concerned. So if you plan to stay in this hotel make sure your room is not on the side with the bar below.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to respond to our survey. First of all, on behalf of the whole team, please accept our apologies for not meeting your expectations. Our renovations have been going on and off for a couple of months now and I am pleased to tell you that we are done for now. We have tried very hard to minimize any disruption to guests but the challenge with giving advance notification is that a lot of times we get very short notice by the trades. Either way, we make sure that work happens only between 10 am and 5 pm. The hallway work was a bit dusty but it was only for a brief period of time. As for the noise, you did absolutely the right thing to notify the Front Desk. I am sorry that it took so long to disperse the loud party. I will certainly follow up with my Night Manager and see why we did not react faster. In the center of everything

Cons: The hotel was being renovated so we did not get to see the finished product.
Location: Within walking distance to the inner harbour, Parliament buildings, Miniature World, shops and many places to eat or have a drink.
The location was excellent. We could walk to mostly everything we wanted to see. It was a treat not to have to deal with a car, one-way streets, and an unfamiliar city.

However, we now have 14 completely renovated rooms and they are lovely, you should try them out if you visit again. Work will start on additional 14 rooms in the Fall. Great location and friendly staff

Pros: The location and the beds.
Location: It is very close to Royal BC Museum which we wanted to visit. It's on the border of Inner harbor and we were able to walk to most tourist attractions.
Friendly staff, convenient location, most comfortable bed I've had in a hotel. We were allowed to leave the car there till 3pm and got discount tickets to Royal BC Museum. With 25% discount, breakfast cost was very reasonable.

Good reception and walk to inner harbour.

Pros: Location, price, gated parking. Reception staff.
Cons: Add air conditioning. Clean up bar.
Location: Everything within walking. Harbour, restaurants for all. Main routes to everything.
Reception efficient and pleasant. Lobby bright and coffee,paper,etc. available. Under Reno on our floor but not noisy. Small pool in basement. Restaurant/pub not our style but 25 0/0 off with room. For me personally having no air conditioning wasn't pleasant. Fan is supplied. Overall for price and location good spot. Parking $9 per day.

the front desk guess service was terrible

Pros: not happy never come back Quality Inn again
When we was in the front desk for check in.There was a male help us. He approach was not friendly. He not even smile to the customer. When we ask a question, he didn't listen.There was a parking space for the customer max 10 min. We asked him that if we can park the car there to bring the bags into the room because we have to go for a meeting. As soon as we just get into the room the front desk men keep calling so many time to move the car quickly while there was a few empty parking space available there. This is a first time we when to Victoria. We didn't know the direction where to go. We gather to go somewhere else to ask for the direction but we don't want to go to the front desk again. Because we did not have a welcome feeling to come back to the hotel.

Very nice.

Very nice place: friendly staff, good facilities (in renovation) and great location close to the inner harbor, restaurants and bus depot. Very convenient to ride bus onto ferry to Vancouver. Good price through Hotels.com made it especially great.
