Was pleasantly surprised! I looked at a lot of hotels and reviews before settling on the Magnolia. The pictures online make it look a bit stuffy but the place is light, bright and quality. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Location could not be better. Loved all the helpful suggestions. We will be back!

This property was perfectly located. We were able to walk to so many places. The staff was warm and helpful and our room was beautifully appointed.

I liked the the small, thoughtful touches such as a carafe of water and fruit and chocolate in the room. These are things the large chain hotels may nickle and dime you for. The Silk Road tea provided was wonderful and I will be ordering some. I loved the deep bathtub and the high quality bath products.

The things we didn’t like; 1) price for the location and amenities offered. More than $400 we paid, would rather to stay at the Empress Hotel. 2) price- we booked 4 weeks in advance; but on day of check in, room was $100 cheaper. 3) we arrived at 12pm and wasn’t expecting an early check in and just paid for valet parking. They mentioned soon as the room was ready they would call us. Check in time was at 4pm and no one ever called. We went back around 4pm and stayed in line with others to wait to get room. 4) As a gold member of Expedia, I lucky received $25 hotel credits from Expedia. However, we had to mention it to the hotel at least three times about this credit, they even forgot it again before issuing our final bills. it made me feel that we are begging for it.....
