Five stars. The room was cozy; the breakfasts were original, tasty and interesting; the grounds lovely and the people nice. It was the perfect room to spend rainy afternoons after hiking in the various lovely places around the island. Being dog friendly was such a bonus. They even have a lovely little fenced in area for the pups. Only one thing to change: The room above us had a piano that the those guests thought appropriate to play at 7 in the morning. (Seriously - who does that?). Best to avoid having to listen to Chopsticks played badly at any time. Really, pianos don’t being in hotel rooms for many reasons, Mary Had a Little Lamb notwithstanding. However I’d consider that minor. It’s a lovely place. We’ll stay here again on our next trip.

It’s not a new building, so don’t expect sleek and modern, but it’s immaculate, cozy, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the bed is SO comfy and inviting. My pets appreciated the treats and water bowls. If you want to walk on a SJI Ferry, the location is perfect!!
