Wonderful little hotel near the convention center

Pros: Room service portions are wonderful - food is great.
Great hotel - very quite and clean near convention center - 2 block away - great staff and overall a perfect place to stay if you want a great hotel alternative to the mega hotels in the area.

Very Good Experience

Very comfortable hotel and close to all of the sites that you will like to see. It was in walking distance to a the convention center and convenient stores (CVS & Walgreens). The quality of the restaurant was good as well. We only ate breakfast and it prove to be a great benefit for us. The prices were reasonable and worth taking advantage of verse going out to eat in the morning. The standard single queen bed room could have been larger but the staff's hospitality, the hotel location, and it's quality made up for the room size. I hear the other rooms are larger. You may want to check into upgrading if a large room size is important to you. All in all our experience with the hotel, the museums, and the region was excellent.

Wonderful experience at this hotel! Reception staff were very attentive, quick check in and check out. Hotel room is big, nice firm bed, lots of pillows, big bathroom and everything was very clean. Hotel has a good location, my son and I were able to either walk or bike almost everywhere. Bike dock station nearby, Regal cinemas is also a couple blocks away. I have been to Washington before but never in the summer. In general we had a wonderful experience. I will highly recommend this hotel. We ate outside everyday, did not use hotel restaurant or bar, I am unable to rate these services. Great job!

Great Hotel!!! Great location!!! Great staff!!!

Pros: The location is great. The shops and restaurants of Chinatown is only a couple of blocks away, so no need for a cab.
Cons: Nothing I can think of, it's a great place to spend time in the nation's capital.
My Wife and I spent two days at the Morrison Clark for a White House visit and loved it. We would definitely stay there again. I personally think the Hotel could be rated 5 star. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us on any request we had. The Bellman Teshale went far out of his way to help us in anyway possible. We look forward to staying there again when in D.C.

Pros: The cleanliness, the décor, location, the bed was comfortable, and shower was spacious.
Had a wonderful spacious room with a great bathroom and view of the courtyard. Was quiet and peaceful. No problem sleeping. The staff was helpful and kind. We were treated very nice by everyone. Because breakfast was the only meal we ate there I can't speak of the other menu selections. Every item we ordered off breakfast menu was great and so was the staff. We had no issues and had a wonderful trip to D.C..

Convenient downtown hotel with historical charm

I stayed here for a single night (corner room 4th floor in one of the two original Morrison & Clark buildings), the room had all the modern conveniences without the generic sameness that many new hotels have. A few minor things (an extra minute for hot water to come up in the shower, analog 4:3 cable although flatscreen TV was 16:9 HD) were vastly outweighed by the spaciousness and graciousness of the architecture, and the elegance of the common areas. The hotel expanded into an adjacent building a few years ago (the elegant entrance is located there), and rooms may vary more in such historic buildings than in new construction, but my experience was entirely pleasant and the staff were extremely efficient and helpful.

Nice quiet hotel close to sights

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom and very quiet despite being in the center of it all. Beautiful dining room. Limited menu, on the expensive side, but very good food and excellent service. We really felt looked after and felt like the staff knew us and our habits after our 4 day/3 night stay. Highly recommend.

Lovely historic hotel

Pros: It's a beautiful hotel, and the bartender at the downstairs bar was wonderful!! the beds were very comfortable. The bellmen were wonderful!!
Cons: Check the light bulbs in the rooms!! We had TWO that were burnt out....
Location: Nothing nearby to see....
Pretty and clean hotel. BUT, of all the rooms available, we were in a room that overlooked the graveyard for old appliances and the garbage dumpster from the hotel/apartment next door. We returned a little late from sightseeing and were told that the kitchen for the restaurant upstairs closes at 10 p.m. At 9:40 we walked upstairs and were refused seating because of the aforementioned kitchen closing. I understand the timing, but we should have been told that they will not seat after 9:30. So we ate at the bar downstairs, which ended up being a delight because of their bartender, Jesus.
