Quick one night for a hockey game

The staff where great the room was good. Only down fall is the free breakfast was ice cold

Very enjoyable stay, wonderful staff

This was our first time staying at the Humphry and we were very delighted with our 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold options, the pool was warm and inviting, and the staff was wonderful. The only negative is I thought the bed was a little hard but my husband loved the firmness. I'd also like to point out that its a great location, right downtown and only 2 blocks from the underground shopping. It's also right near the train station and even with our room facing the tracks, we didn't hear a train either night. We will definately stay here again.

Nice hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was nice and clean. The whirlpool tub was excellent. We also enjoyed the swimming pool since we had it all to ourselves that evening. The location was a bit too busy for me (I'm not used to driving in the city😉), but on the other hand it was excellent because it was so close to many things. I also loved the easy access to the parking lot. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Bit of a Shock

Pros: Staff pleasant and food great
Cons: Television reception in every room.
Location: The closest city was Truro as there seemed to be nothing else in the immediate vicinity.
Upon arrival, I learned that I would be in a very small room and would be sharing toilet and bath facilities with 5 other rooms, fortunately only two others were occupied. I turned on the television in the room and there was no reception. When I asked the hotel owner, she replied that the cable company wanted to charge them $20/room/month for reception so they said no and settled for reception only in the common rooms throughout the hotel. (I would have jumped at a rate like that were I a hotel owner. Overall, the hotel was very old and understood to be an old military base. On the plus side, the conference facilities were first rate, the staff extremely pleasant and the food was very good.

nice hotel great staff

Cons: beds pool
Location: great location
good location great staff but the bed is old and lumpy sore back guaranteed. pool was not cleaned hair floating in it for 2 days. hot tub broken for some time now.

Good value downtown

The hotel appears to be newish, but shows some signs of ageing. Lovely room, bit of an odour on arrival that quickly went away once the heat was turned on. Cracked tub surround where support bar was installed. 4 day stay, the day we did not display the do not disturb card, housekeeping missed our room. Great breakfast. A different hot entree each day, along with staples like fruit, cold cereals, oatmeal and assorted bread products. The waffles were delicious. The pool and spa are great. Small but well equipped exercise room. A nice hotel reasonably priced. Parking is an issue. Small, cramped lot, but there is also off premises parking offered.

We do offer free parking for one vehicle per room for our guests convenience which is rare for a downtown hotel. Our parking lot directly behind the hotel does fill up quickly when the hotel is full; however we do have an overflow parking directly across the street from the hotel that is free for our guests as well. Both lots are monitored by a parking lot attendant from 6 pm to 6 am daily. We apologize that there were some minor issues with your guest room and that you did not have housekeeping service one day of your stay. I hope that you contacted our front office team to have these issues resolved. I will bring your feedback on these issues to our management team. Needs some TLC

Maintanance and cleaning were lacking on this visit. Bathroom: sink cracked, shower head mouldy, carpet frayed and discoloured. Bed side lamp broken. Staff still friendly and location is good.

In Winnipeg for a Conference

Pros: Room was ready for an early check in. News papers provided in the moring
Cons: Stong chlorine smell from pool
Location: Was in town for business, didn't check much out. The forks market was great!
Arrived early in the morning and was very impressed the hotel had my room ready to check in! It is an older building but the staff is great and the rooms were very clean.

All you need

Pros: The complimentary breakfast is excellent!
Cons: There should be more tables and chairs in the breakfast room.
Location: The hotel is situated downtown Winnipeg, close to anything you would want to see there.
The hotel is well situated in downtown Winnipeg, clean, and has friendly and helpful staff. It might not be the most luxurious place in Winnipeg but has all you need. The complimentary breakfast is excellent and on top of that, the hotel offers all-day free coffee. The breakfast room can be quite crowded and there are not enough tables and chairs at all times. Rooms are clean and comfortable, internet is fast, and overall it was a very pleasant experience.
