From the outside this property looked awful, run down with peeling paint, trash everywhere, the bin overflowing, junked cars parked, some appearing not to be drivable. It was not at all a place I would choose. The pictures on the website presented a very different picture.
Fortunately the office staff told us they were full and our reservation had been transferred to the Super 8 in Fortuna which was very nice and we appreciated being there.

There are four hotels near each other here in Fortuna. I chose it mainly because it has complimentary Tesla Universal Charging Stations (Level 2) what is great for staying overnight. The next-door hotel, Super 8, has fast chargers and some Level 2 chargers, but it's not free.
As for the room, it's clean and basic.
All the hotels have a basic breakfast, and the Eel Liver Brewing Company is the main place where people go for lunch and/or dinner; it has friendly staff.

The property was in need of serious updating. Bathroom was very worn, room was dusty, at check-in we were recommended to dine right next door. When we went over we found that it had been closed for a month or more.
