“We were prepared for no hot water, no AC, no cell service, but we were not prepared for the overall shady communication, vibes and charges. We booked this hotel to be close to Corcovado, and booked a tour with the hotel. When we asked for details, they said they said that the communication from Expedia was poor, and they only booked our snorkeling tour. We asked to cancel the snorkeling because the national park was our priority. She said they couldn't because they already bought the tickets.……

“Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds.
It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. ”

“The view from the room was unforgettable. HOWEVER, please be aware that you need to go UP a steep hill to get to your rooms from the beach and "lobby/restaurant."
The communication with the hotel was not the best. I needed to clarify some things prior to the stay, however nobody got back to me. The only time I got a timely response was when the hotel reached out to me first via WhatsApp.
I booked this partly because it stated that the transportation to Drake Bay airport was included, but when……
