Worth the price

Posted Feb 19, 2017
The hotel was well worth the price. The mini bar was free and was replenished every day. The staff were helpful and approachable. The room was quite good although a kettle in the room would have been nice.

Quirky but friendly semi-boutique hotel

Posted Oct 27, 2016 on Ebookers
Pros: Clean Welcoming Has a gym Quite stylish
Location: Out of town centre location, but with a good selection of restaurants etc around. Close to the Zoological gardens and on a Tram route.
Set in a traditional building out of the town centre but in an area with plenty of restaurants, the Dormero has a quirky almost boutique-like style inside. The rooms I have stayed in have all been large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are quite good even for vegetarians, by German meat-fest standards at least, but recent changes to the restaurant menu means going out to eat in the evenings is almost a necessity. Fortunately there are several good places within 3-4 minutes walking.

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel

Posted Oct 8, 2016 on Hotels
We had a free upgrade to a suite with separatebedroom, sitting room and bathroom. It was spacious and very clean. There were some free drinks in the minibar, but no coffee making equipment. Very quiet, excellent breakfast buffet

Try it and you'll love it!

Posted Aug 11, 2016 on Hotels
From the very first moment until the last, the staff (both the reception staff and the cleaning staff) were very thoughtful and eager to help. The receptionist would provide us with any and all information we asked of her (as well as useful information both about the hotel and the city) and the cleaning staff were very perceptive about our needs (always restocking what we used up). The minibar in the room was free and your 6 drinks (2 waters, 1 beer and 3 soft drinks) would be restocked daily, and should you wish to not be disturbed, the cleaning staff would leave a set of 6 fresh drinks at your door, for you to take in at your leisure. The amount of services they offered for free (fitness room, sauna, in-room safe, minibar, as well as drinks/croissants at the reception desk) really helped us feel like the center of attention! The location is ideal for some great restaurants in the area, is very close to the Zoo and offers plenty of nearby bus and tram stops to choose from.

Excellent hotel, convenient transport links

Posted May 15, 2016
Pros: Clean, comfortable room and bed. Very good TV. Bathroom clean and spacious. Excellent, if pricey, breakfast. Staff speak English.
Cons: Wifi could be quicker; also it was irritating to have to reconnect periodically by clicking on an icon and re-entering my name and room number.
Location: The hotel is beside 2 tram lines and 4 bus routes, so it is very easy to get into Dresden. Shops very close. Zoo and the beautiful Gross Garten nearby
Hotel Domero is a very comfortable and clean base for a great holiday in Dresden. It is beside 2 tram routes and 4 bus routes, so it is very easy to get into central Dresden and elsewhere. Number 9 tram goes direct to the main station with links to the whole of Germany and neighbouring countries. You can buy public transport tickets, including the 6 euro day ticket (tageskarte) from the reception desk. Reception staff speak English and are very helpful. There are several shops, including a bakerai, within 100 metres. It has several facilities, including a restaurant, bar and sauna, which I did not use.

Nice Hotel with a funky theme

Posted May 14, 2016
Pros: The theme was very funky.
Location: There were a few restaurants and bakeries nearby. We drove out to Bastei which was pretty cool.
The room was nice and large. The bathroom was a little small but sufficient. The Dormero theme was kind of funky and funny, which added to the enjoyment.
