Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and nice restaurant, its a convenient location on the edge of town close to the autoroute junction but a risky walk into town along the main road.

Excellent service, staff is nice and welcoming, the room was beautifully refurbished and very spacious and comfortable. I was just expecting a better quality food for breakfast.

Nice Hotel. Service could be better.
We stayed overnight on 11 July 2019. Ideally located just off the motorway. Reception was fast, efficient and friendly. The room was bright and comfortable. Hotel staff were very good, apart from the lady who appeared to be in charge of the bar, who was rude and unhelpful. She had cut her finger and maybe that accounted for her sourness. The restaurant was in a lovely location next to a woodland stream. But it was very busy and service was slow. The food when it arrived was ok. If you have the choice, eat out. You are spoilt for choice and Valence also has a 3 Michelin star restaurant which featured in Masterchef. One hint - if you are going into town either drive or ask reception to order a taxi out and back. We were given a map by reception and walked. The walk is along a busy main road with no pavement and is dangerous and alarming. On phoning the official taxi number for the return journey we were told there were no taxis! We had to repeat the walk along the road back.

Loved our stay!
My husband and I stayed here with our 5 month old baby boy as a stopover on the way back to London and really liked this hotel just outside the city centre of Valence. The rooms are simple and comfortable, the breakfast and restaurant really good and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the terrace at the back, a very peaceful setting under the trees and next to a little stream. Would definitely come back!

Well located ed hotel just off the motor way, clean room, ok size friendly reception staff who spoke English. However the restaurant service was a joke, took over 20 to have our order taken, given only one menu, took another 40 mins to be served our food (also came out as the wrong order but we are it anyway as were so hungry). I would suggest eating elsewhere as although the restaurant settings is nice with pretty views etc the staff spoke little English and so avoided our table (my husband, one year old and myself). The kids play area as advertised is little more then a small room with a games table. Nice pool

Nice hotel close to motorways but hotel Sevices seem to be falling off he normal high standards. No milk sachets left in our room for.morning coffee. Bar service very slow.

Nice hotel in a nice area most of the staff were very friendly and helpful with the exception of an older man in the bar,he was not friendly at all and was very unhelpful when asking about food,however this worked In our favour as we left the hotel to eat and found a great buffolo grill a few mins drive away where the staff were very friendly and helpful and the was good and priced well.

Nice hotel, let down by its restaurant
Arrived after a 700 mile drive so was greatful of a super fast check in. Room was clean and comfortable. We headed to the pool which was busy but fine. The hotel has a lovely outside space to relax We had dinner at the hotel as we were tired from the long trip. Both my wife and I had the steak, 200 Gramms. Mine was around 150 gramms fat and gristle, my wife’s marginally better. We ordered my son the fish, chips and peas. The peas never arrived. The breakfast buffet was a little better but somewhat chaotic. My advice would be to stay but make sure you eat elsewhere.

Nice hotel, miserable staff
Reception staff superb but on arrival we were given two rooms which had been used by smokers, no quibble to change but this is naughty! restaurant staff just painful to deal with, no smiles, no salad provided when we eventually got our meal. shame as the food was good and hotel rooms lovely.

AC turned off
I came to my room late as I was traveling on business. Straight after checking I have had dinner in the hotel restaurant. When I got to the room the air inside was quite warm so I setup AC to low before going to bed. I woke up in the morning parched. When I complaint in reception they said that management has made decision that it wasn't that hot outside so AC system was turned off, but the good news is that they are going to turn it on for the following night. Well shame I didn't stay with them for the next night.

Good hotel for a road trip
An excellent hotel for travelers needing a place to stay on a road trip. This is a budget hotel but the rooms are comfortable and clean and the service meets the needs of overnight travelers. There are spacious grounds and we didn't feel like we were in a mass of roadside hotels and fast food establishments. We also found the hotel restaurant to be pleasant with good (but not gourmet) food.

Not what I expected for a Novotel
When we arrived (after midnight), we were negatively surprised to find one of the two rooms not well serviced. The linen for one of the beds had not been changed and our first impression as we walked into the room is that it was taken by somebody else. Not a nice surprise when you arrive so late at night after many hours of driving.
