The location is great you get a bit of old Dubai , however have stayed a few times in this hotel and feel it's really slipping not as clean as it was which is a great shame also no shuttle to beach anymore won't be my first choice when I return to Dubai...

Staff are this hotel's best assetPosted Oct 8, 2015
Cons: Checklist for housekeeping re: bathroom supplies.
We arrived at the hotel around 10am and check-in was not until 2pm but we were able to get into our room within an hour which was much appreciated. Every staff member we encountered during our two night stop-over was very courteous and greeted us warmly. Room was comfortable and bathroom grouting was 'interesting'. Only minor gripe was no hand soap in our bathroom upon checking in so we had to use the shower gel provided. Second day I requested hand soap when housekeeping arrived and it was supplied but no spare toilet paper was left and I had to call housekeeping (via reception) and one was delivered to our room promptly. Good choice of eating options...some a bit pricey...although we only tried Sherlock Holmes pub and Pharoah's restaurant. Buffet breakfast was good with a four hour window which was good for early or late risers, particularly enjoyed the freshly cooked omelette with choice of fillings. The hotel is right beside Dubai museum and a short walk to the creek where you can get a water taxi for 1 dirham to the other side to check out the spice and gold souks. Be sure to choose the water taxi though (seat up to 20) as another boat was looking 10 dirham per person to go across. Easy to get a taxi outside to other attractions (such as Dubai Mall & Fountain, Burj Khalifa) too.

Arabian CourtyardPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: View from room, Good Service with cheerful staff
Cons: Attention to maintenance
Location: Museums and Tourist shopping all around
We stayed on the 8th floor which provided a great view over the city. The bathroom door was damaged and would not operate properly and the bathroom was a bit dated. But it was pretty good value for the price. Staff were great and helpful Food at the English Pub 1st floor was ok but a little expensive for what you get. Beer was cold Be prepared to wake up early with the outside prayer speakers blaring but I doubt you could avoid this anywhere in Dubai If staying in Dubai again I would do a bit more research.

Nice hotel opposite the museumPosted Oct 6, 2015
Very pleasant check-in process done by Raphael at the front desk. Comfortable room, with appreciated plate of fresh fruits delivered. Clean and comfortable rooms with good restaurants, but did not try them. Close to airport.

Delightful hotelPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: The quiet elegance, marble, dark wood, large room, everything we needed.
Cons: Personally I found the bed to be too firm, but that may suit some people.
Location: The Dubai Museum, Dubai Creek and waterfront with numerous water tours available.
A friend and I had two nights at the Arabian Courtyard to break our flight from New York to Perth. It was the first visit to Dubai for both of us, so in all honesty I cannot compare to other accommodation, but this hotel in the old area of Dubai was delightful. Quiet, elegant and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. The welcome glass of fruit juice in the lobby on our arrival was a lovely touch. The Dubai Museum, in an old fort which is part of the original walled city, is directly across the road. It is only a short walk to Dubai Creek, and the old waterfront area. The area is all old, with beautiful buildings. We didn't have time to check out all the shopping in this area, but everything seemed to be available, with more bartering opportunities than in the Mall. With three restaurants and a café in the lobby, all reasonably priced, a most convenient hotel for our short break. We took a taxi to visit Dubai Mall and the fountain, but far preferred staying in Old Dubai.

Authentic Dubai stay in Bur DubaiPosted Sep 17, 2015
The hotel is a boutique hotel which is nice as it has it's own charm. There were prayers being blared from a near by mosque at 430 in the morning and then every 30 mins after that for a couple of hours. I didn't mind as this was part of the experience and it's possible to sleep through it. Gym is only open at 7am however. Bur Dubai is like the little India of Dubai. We were right beside the museum which is very inexpensive and has lots to see in doors. There are a lot of clothes shops in the area but not a lot of food places. If you search you can find something ok though. I found out that you need to be an emirati to own a company here (migrants/expats cannoy become citizens) so does that have something to do with the lack of restaurants? We went in September and it was over 40 degrees in the afternoon and that is very very hot if in the sun. Shopping was just ok as we didn't find a sari we were looking for at a good price.
