Nice hotel. Perfect for families

Hotel was in perfect walking distance to many places. Taxis and trains were east accessible. Room was large ( 3 bedroom apartment). Shower facilities could be updated but with the price it was worth it.

Great value hotel close to Mina Bazaar

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to get to Mina Bazaar. Great value for money.
Location: Mina Bazaar is a 15-20 min walk. Quite far from the beaches though.
We spent 4 nights at Golden Sands 5 and it was a very good experience. The staff were very friendly and professional. The swimming pool and gym were very clean and well equipped. The rooms were cleaned everyday and eventhough we had a problem with the bathroom the problem was resolved immediately.Amazing value for a 3 star hotel and we definately would return there. Only downside was there weren't many restaurants near but there was a 24 hr supermarket right opposite.

Pros: Sauna, rooftop pool, nice rooms, very helpful staff, very good for the money!
Cons: Breakfast charges I thought were very expensive.
ADCB metro station is a 15 minutes walk, you can take the metro to the main city attractions. There are regular taxis driving past the hotel so easy to catch a cab also. There's a corner shop right across the road from the hotel for any emergency food shop. The roof top swimming pool is very pretty plus they have a sauna but the main pool. Overall very good for the price we paid.

Cons: Wifi speed and connectivity
My experience with the hotel has been excellent. Would definitely recommend it to others ! Staff were friendly and helpful, services were very prompt and overall cleanliness was great. The only downside was the wifi connection. It was very very slow or at times, non-existent.

Location perfect to commute everywhere Though facilities not fantastic, decent sized rooms and any faults were overlooked by the excellent staff in particular one named Abdullahi whose customer care was 110% from check in tillcheck out stating that he would make my stay feel like being in my 2nd home and it did feel like home away from home ensuring any complaints rectified within the hour and providing areas of interest to visit Special commendation to him

Price is right - Amenities lacking

Pros: The staff went out of their way to warmly welcome us and to accommodate our needs.
Cons: Suspect the pool location is a permanent feature.
Location: This was a bit disappointing as the general area did not offer much in terms of restaurants and other activities.
While we could not have been happier in terms of staff and general condition of the hotel, the fact that the pool had absolutely no access to direct sunlight was a definite deal breaker. Surrounded by towering walls on all sides, our escape from -40 weather in northern Canada meant we needed to feel that ball in the sky. To the hotel's credit, they allowed us to check out, penalty free, in order to relocate to a hotel that met our needs. They also offered to have us change locations to another of their hotels that did have a roof top pool, although that site did not have two bedroom units, something we also needed. In the end, while the price was definitely right, the experience did not fully meet our needs.

Close to supermarket and metro

Pros: Close to metro, spinneys supermarket 24 hours,walking distance to burjuman shopping mall and lovely swimming pool area.
Cons: Nothing we had a great stay
Location: Located mankhool area, behind spinneys supermarket, 24 hour opening with mcDonalds and walking distance burjuman mall, 5-7 mins walk to metro station
I was on holiday with my parents, brother, sister and my 6 month baby. We booked the 3 bedroom apartment in golden sands 10. When we got there at 8am the check in was swift and staff was very pleasant, their check in is usually 2pm but we got our room because i had a baby. Also he upgraded us to a lovely deluxe suite room 117 which is fantastic and large for big families. the hotel is right next to spinneys supermarket and the Burjuman shopping centre where you can get the metro or walm to the other karama stop which is about 5-7 mins walk. Overall we had a great stay the rooms were very big and the living room and kitchen aswell. There was also a laundry room and two toilets. My baby also got a cot. Great place to stay and value for money!

Worst apartment I would have stayed!

Rude staff, dirty rooms and bad room service. Some day room service will clean kitchen and some day not. Everyday you need to deal with reception who add not helpful

Close to amenities

Overall the place was very good especially with the help of the front desk, Fared & Anis, who were friendly and accomodating. The only complain is the smell of cigar of the room.

Everything is good – little confusing when we book through Expedia because there are many Golden Sands from number 1 to number 10 – normally we don't know in which Golden Sands we are booking on we are extending stay .
