Nice hotel close to the beach

Very pleasant and comfortable stay. Excellent and friendly staff at front desk and lobby. The lady at the tour desk was really helpful in arranging n planning our excursions. Room service was fast and excellent, special thanks to Darshan for looking after us. Kids loved the rooftop swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay at Mercure Gold.

Good Location, lacking in modern features

Pros: Staff and services
Cons: Hotel facilities such as pool, restaurant and lobby
Location: Kite beach, The Dubai Mall, Downtown
Good hotel for Business trip, I wouldn't recommend for family holidays. The roof top pool is not suitable for younger children. The Hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating.

Nice hotel location just a bit to far from JBR

Pros: When we arrived Expedia had not forwarded on our booking to the hotel,but they managed to sort out the problem very quickly.
Cons: Excellent all round experience unable to think of anything which could be improved.
Location: Not an ideal location but the shuttle service to the beach and Dubai Mall was a bonus.
Lovely hotel very clean but just a bit far from JBR, swimming pool excellent for families with children. All staff very friendly and helpful the only reason I would not use thus hotel again would be the location too far from all the main attractions. This was our first visit to Kit beach we were very impression lovely beach and not as crowded as JBR.

great location, great staff

Pros: location and staff
Cons: volume late at night from the bar. We were 4 floors down and could still hear the music late
Location: Old town Dubai, beaches. transportation was easy and inexpensive. Had a great time
If you want the experience of a 5 star feel of a hotel, this is it! Only wished the weather was a bit nicer to be able to enjoy the fabulous pools. I enjoyed that this was close enough to the strip to have access to all of the fun, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet and serenity. The spa and gym were wonderful; I would highly recommend!

Overrated. Would not stay there again. The beds were small and hard. The rooms were filthy.

BED BUGS ON BED, HORRIFIC

Cons: BED BUGS SAFETY
They ruined my stay in Dubai, I found bed bugs in the hotel and they refused to process me a refund for such a horrific incident. They were on the bed even before I laid on it, picture attached, and I had to get all my clothes dry cleaned to kill the potential baby bed bugs, also I had to buy new clothes to wear for two days while my clothes were ready. Hotel not safe at all, especially because bed bugs can stick to your clothes, and keep growing and laying eggs. You can stay there and not realize you have bed bugs, until you return back home and they are grown.

Good staff, 3star facilities

Staff were lovely and very helpful. I don't think it qualifies as a 4star hotel. The pool is tiny and the whole place seems a little run down. I'd definitely give it a 3 star. Good service though

the hotel don't match 4 star

we have booked 3 rooms, all rooms has very bad smell , there is no good restaurants and facilities .

very bad experiance

I had to stay at this hotel for few days as I had a conference close by. the day I checked in I was provided a room that didn't have mobile phone service coverage or wifi, so I had to change the room. Rooms don't have view except on the building right next to the hotel. the rooms felt dark as there was no sun light reach (even in the morning). I woke up the next morning on the next room's guests noise, I could hear them talking. Both rooms I stayed in were not clean, next morning I left at 8 am after I asked the front desk to ask the cleaners to by extra attention when cleaning my room. I was back at 4:30pm to find that my room was not even touched or cleaned, the bed was not made, the bathroom was not cleaned and the towels were not changed. I talked to the manger that sent the cleaner over but it was too late, as I was tired after 8 hour working day. I informed the management that I want to cancel my reservation, I wasn't offered any alternatives or even an apology (except from the front desk guy-Yousrri). I had had to cancel the rest of my stay and book another hotel which was a last minute booking and very inconvenient. I think this hotel should be rated as 2-3 star hotel, not as 4 star hotel I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
