Amazing Staff

We were amazed at the standard of service at the Savoy. Each and every member of staff were friendly, curtiuos and extremely helpful. I would defiantly recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and modern and facilities were good

Comfortabel, vlakbij het historische centrum

Pros: Personeel, ruime kamers, zwembad.
Location: Op loopafstand van metrostations, supermarkten, restaurants en het historische centrum van Bur Dubai. Het is een overwegend Indische wijk.
Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ruime kamers met comfortabel bed. Het is enigszins gehorig, maar niet storend en niet in grotere mate dan bij een gemiddeld hotel. Relax zwembad op het dak met (toen wij er waren) altijd een ligbed beschikbaar. Op loopafstand van metrostations, supermarkten, restaurants en het historische centrum van Bur Dubai. Wel ver weg van de meeste bezienswaardigheden, zoal de Burj Khalifa en de Marina.

Gutes Hotel für Städtereise

Pros: Durch Nachtflug bereits um 9.00 Uhr im Hotel. Zimmer konnte schon um 10.00 statt 14.00 Uhr bezogen werden ohne Zusatzkosten. Danke.
Cons: Das Badezimmer braucht bitte dringend eine Renovierung.
Location: Das Hotel liegt im alten Kern von Dubai. Metro-Station Al Fahidi ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen (500 m). Vom Flughafen nur 6 Stationen entfernt.
Viele Indische Gäste, daher ist auch das Frühstück auf diese Gäste ausgerichtet. Es gibt warme Speisen, aber auch Toast, Marmelade, Wurst und eine Auswahl an heimischen Spezialitäten (z.Bsp. Datteln). Für umgerechnet knapp 10,- € war das absolut in Ordnung. Der Hotelpool auf dem Dach ist klein, aber sehr sauber. Liegt am Nachmittag im Schatten. Aber meistens hat man deshalb nachmittags den Pool auch für sich allein. Bei der Anreise gab's ein Willkommensgetränk. Ein- und Auschecken war total problemlos und ging schnell. Das Hotel hat PC's, an denen ich bei der Airline online einchecken konnte, ohne Zusatzkosten. WLAN ist im ganzen Hotel kostenlos. Das Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Fair hotel but dirty

I stayed several nights at this hotel. The size of the room and layout was quite good and the service was fine. The room was nevertheless quite dirty. All the areas where the room service cleans was actually clean and they did a good job there but when you look at the kitchen cabinets, the remote control for the tv etc... this is where I got actually disgusted. Black fat from people touching it is something that even the least trained people can see but not at this hotel. Very bad. Then, Internet. They have a special wifi spot for each room which is very good and the signal is very good. They had however some technical problems resulting in no functionality of the Internet. After a call to the reception they sent a team to fix it within minutes and it worked. The Internet was more or less stable after that but maybe fell out once or twice per day for a short time. My overall evaluation of my stay is maybe best described that way that I am still in Dubai but at another hotel. Not recommended from my side. If they would clean the rooms properly and update their shower equipment then I would consider it. Happy travels!

Great hotel with great rates!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel; staff were very friendly and always helpful. The rooftop pool was great and we used daily. Jafor, the staff who was at the pool was always friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, very comfortable bed, great kitchen (with cooktop). The location was superb for shopping, transit and local grocery shopping. Great location and would definitely return again to this hotel.
