Very disappointed
The hotel tried to take payment from my card the day before we arrived without my consent. When we checked in the girl was rude, lacked any knowledge of the local area then when I complained about the attempted charge to my card she rudely informed me that it’s the hotel policy and that I should have accepted it. The room was in a terrible state… dirty curtains and the shades outside the window are full of black mold. I took a shower which was cold and the water dripped out so I could not wash my hair properly. Then when we tried to watch tv the remote does not work properly so you have to press several times. We were moved to a suite where the shower was better but the tv remote still did not work. The room was tired and is in need of updating. The blinds outside were again moldy. The manager informed us that these dark stains were from the rain but in both rooms it was clear to see black mold. I returned to this hotel after staying twice before covid. The standard has declined significantly and the staff are incompetent and rude. We also had an issue with Uber and taxis not knowing where to come as the hotel lobby is not easy to find. We will not return to this hotel.
