The Albany is a lovely B&B with nicely decorated rooms and pleasant staff. I had booked 2 rooms for our visit so my older teens could be in their own room. We'd been allocated one room in the basement, the other on the 4th floor. I wasn't happy that the kids were so far away from us so reception kindly moved us to the same floor. The lack of lift, and the period features is arguably what makes the Albany such a lovely Georgian House but at the end of a busy day sightseeing, the thought of having to climb 77 steps to the 4th floor was not appealing.

Pros: Central location.
Cons: I know the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishing, so the construction noise and workforce will eventually go away.
Location: Location as I mentioned was good and an easy walk to nearby shopping, restaurants, attractions, transportation, etc.
Hotel with character and good location within easy walking distance of shopping and attractions. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful the entire time of my stay, making my visit to Ireland that much more enjoyable. Continental breakfast was a plus!

Pros: Kind, friendly, and helpful employees; the historic building; and a very good value for the room cost.
Cons: Nothing. If you want super-modern furniture and ambiance this isn't the place for you. Treasure the Georgian history offered by the hotel and apprec
Location: Within five minutes of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (RCSI).
Stayed four nights on business. Arrived on an overnight flight from the States at 09:00 and my room was ready. What a welcome relief to not have to wait until 14:00 to check in. Staff were professional and pleasant, particularly the breakfast dining room employees.

Cons: A nightclub in the neighbourhood is noisy late at night. Ask for a room not facing Harcourt Street if you are a light sleeper.
Location: Close to St. Stephan's Green, Grafton Street and Trinity College.
The staff of this hotel make it very special, everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the character of the hotel, our room was lovely with 12 foot ceilings and a wonderful modern bathroom with a large shower. The breakfast was great every morning, there was breads, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cheeses, orange juice and coffee or tea.

Clean room, friendly staff and tasty continental breakfast. I was on top floor with a lot of stairs each day. I was surprised that no hot breakfast was available. In the early hours there was a lot of noise from night-clubbers leaving venues.
