Had a group of 12! Thought this would be a nightmare but it was amazing. Really close to the train to go into Dublin and not far to get an Uber back late on the morning. Food was excellent on the one evening even though we booked quite late to go.

Great location for the RDS
Location was perfect for us. A negative for me was using the lift from the car park - no notification of which floor to choose for reception. I would like to compliment them on the instruction in the bathroom on how to use the shower - very helpful. The TV needed some attention.

The staff at Clayton Ballsbridge was excellent. Not so much for Clayton Cardiff. The building is beautiful. The area was clean and the neighborhood was safe and secure. I would absolutely stay at Ballsbridge again. Our only issue was other travelers misbehaved children which is not the hotels fault.

Great location!
A beautiful hotel in a great area of town. Walking distance to some great restaurants, and also an easy taxi ride into the center of the city. Highly Reccommend.

Room Clean service was not everyday - beds not made and in room coffee tea service not replenished until specifically requested. Car parking access information caused major problems due to height restrictions. On site works loud - lifts often out of action.

Utterly Dissapointing
We had two rooms booked for our stay, one on the 3rd floor and the second on the 6th floor. We were very disappointed by the room on the 3rd floor and found the bathroom to be very grubby with old tiles and dated. The bathroom still had a shower curtain and looked like it had not been updated in years. Our 6th floor room was very comfortable and I found it hard to believe the difference in the two rooms. The hospitality and restaurant service was truely dissapointing and I would really like to feed this back to the management. We had reserved a table for 3 people in the Grandstand. The waiting staff did not acknowledge us for about 20 minutes and then did not come back with our drink order at all. After about 15 minutes I went up to the bar to collect our order as I could see it was sitting in the bar going flat. The waiting staff were running around and it was very chaotic. I also noticed other tables were receiving the wrong orders and it was quite an unsettling environment. The food itself was lukewarm and not worth the high price tag. There should also be a service lift for the hotel employees as I found the catering and bar staff were using the main lift with big trolleys which really slowed it down. Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to any friends family’s or colleagues and I also would not be returning.

Utterly dissapointing
We had two rooms booked for our stay, one on the third floor and the second on the 6th floor. I love this hotel. Location is perfect and the hotel is a very high quality. However, I booked a twin room for 2 people but, without explanation, was given a room with just one bed. Luckily my colleague was unable to travel so one bed was sufficienct but the hotel people wouldn't have known that.

For starters, there is nothing near this hotel. It is beautiful to look at from the outside. The service in the restaurant is HORRIBLE. They seat you, then forget about you. I see them working but it was never for our group. The food selection was good and everything we had was delicious when we finally received it. We waited 45 minutes for tea and dessert because two different waiters forgot. We got there early which it was expected our room wouldn’t be ready however, they gave 4 girls who just arrived keys to their room when we had been waiting for 6 hours. I finally had to say something. Then she asked me “do you want to add breakfast?” I said yes, did she add breakfast, no she did not. I really could go on and on about how inattentive the staff was. Just do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, drive by and take a picture if you think it’s that pretty.

Customer service was excellent...and beds/sheets were very comfortable. Room was impeccable. However, despite efforts to repair, (1) toilet did not flush properly, (2) shower did not drain, (3) wifi connection was extremely weak/inconsistent, and (4) TV kept glitching and would turn off while watching. Staff responded and investigated when I brought concerns forward but they were NOT able to repair. Despite these concerns, I would stay again as the Customer Service was outstanding, location was ideal, and bed was extremely comfortable.

it was a good stay, the room was a great shame it did not have a third bed as my sons had to stay in the one bed. Service was okay in the restaurant and very good in the bars. I will admit it was very busy that night for the staff will recommend it to others as it was very cost-effective compared with other hotels in the area, and the staff were very pleasant

Great hotel - great location - expensive parking
This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location close to the city centre, but without the noise of the city centre. When I was there the lifts were being worked on so I had to drag my bags up two flights of stairs from the basement car park which was a little inconvenient, but refurbishments need to happen so I am fine with that really. The price of parking though I did find very expensive considering I was a guest.

Let down
We stayed as we were attending the board Gaisc for lion king with our 9 year old daughter on arrival to the hotel at 4pm we asked the receptionist could we book a taxi to take us there she assured us it was done for collection at 6.30 there was a lot of people in the foyer and I went and at6.45 to enquire on taxi we were told to wait that driver would come in & call our room number at 7.10 my husband went to reception to be told no more taxi were servicing the hotel we then had to take our own vehicle and try and find parking theatre started at 7.30 of course we got clamped and had to wait an hour and half to get released so stressful on my daughter and then the real kick €63 for parking in hotel car park ridiculous will not be returning

Beautiful architecture. Fair cleanliness for a 4* hotel in Europe. Our cups and spoons were dirty when we got our room! It was a warm room, we could turn off the heater but if we wanted cooler room, we could not open the window. The room service staff was a guy who couldn't speak English and was very rude. We asked for a small scale to weigh our luggage and they didn't have it, When they refreshed the room, they didn't provide more water saying that it's only the first time you check in! Overall, cleanliness was not at a 4 star level, everything else was good.
