Beautiful hotel in a castle setting

Posted Aug 26, 2015
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable. We spent our last night in Dublin at this hotel and it was a great way to end our trip. The hotel is well-appointed with great rooms and I highly recommend a stay.

Elegant & comfortable hotel near airport

We loved everything about our stay here! The staff were wonderful and we are in the Knight's Bar where we had a great meal. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We would've loved to stay longer and plan to return.

Pros: wonderful staff and great location
Location: great location just 10 min by bus away from downtown Dublin
stayed 4 nights at the Clontarf Hotel and had an amazing experience overall. We could walk just a few minutes down the road and catch a bus to the city. The hop on an hop off bus even picked up right outside the hotel in the morning. We would definitely stay there again when back in Dublin.

Excellent hotel a bit away from main attractions

Posted Aug 15, 2015
This is a great hotel, very classy-looking, clean and comfortable in a very nice area. Staff is super helpful and pleasant. Getting to Dublin is pretty easy - a 5-10 minute walk and 15 minutes on a bus for the price of €2.55, but if you are planning to just roll out of bed and go sightseeing and/or drinking, that's probably not the best place to stay. We chose comfort and quiet area over distance and were happy with the results. Buses are more frequent during the day, less frequent after 7, the last one is at 10:30 or 11:30. Cab to the airport is about €25 Clontarf is a neat area to explore, several stores and restaurants are within 15-20 minute walk from the hotel, as well as picturesque Bull Island. We dined at the hotel bar one evening and the food was outstanding. Will definitely recommend the hotel, as long as you realize that it's not located in the middle of the action.

Gutes Hotel, netter Service, Ausblick leider mies

Great Hotel

Location: 10 mins to the city
This hotel was amazing. My wife and I both loved staying in the castle. Was a quick ride to the city by either the bus or a taxi. When we go back to Dublin we will stay here again!
