Basic hotel in central location

Posted Dec 10, 2016
Pros: Central location
Cons: Breakfast could start earlier for business travellers It was a shame the little tea biscuit was not replaced each day
Location: I attended a conference at the Convention Centre and this hotel was a pleasant 15 minutes walk away.
Dublin Central Inn is on Talbot Street, which comes off O'Connell Street parallel with the River Liffey at the level of Dublin's big metal spire. It's therefore very convenient for visiting central Dublin. Talbot Street is busy with people at all times and there are several supermarkets and cafes within a hundred yard or so of the hotel so that's very handy. The hotel itself seems quite basic. I was in room 404 (top floor) facing the rear side. Unfortunately there seems to be some kind of big construction work going on at the moment (Dec 2016) which was quite noisy even at night, although I was able to sleep OK. The room was quite small with a narrow single bed but it was comfortable enough for a short stay. The bathroom was surprisingly big (about the same size as the room itself), although it only had a shower, no bath. The room had a small desk, TV and safe. There was tea and coffee in the room, which was replenished daily, as well as a very small biscuit on day one, which was not.

Convenient city centre hotel

Well looked after by all the team. Excellent breakfast and all in all a very comfy stay. Very fortunate to get a complimentary parking space each day (based on first come first serve basis).

Fab hotel close to city centre

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Very helpful and courteous hotel staff, great location, clean and comfortable rooms good breakfast and a very welcoming hospitality.
Cons: keep it as it is straight forward and no fuss.
Location: Location is great with all major attractions nearby from Irish rock n roll temple bar studios (very good) the temple bar bar,pub and restaurants.
Great location hotel with both Guinness storehouse and Aviva stadium about half an hours walk from hotel and both also on the city scape hop on hop off bus tour with the bus stop a Three minuet walk away. Very helpful hotel staff and a great location for all the Dublin hospitality culture.

Hotel was great for access to Dublin, just a two minute walk from O'Connell street (a busy street in the centre of Dublin) and buses to the airport or around Dublin. Breakfast was good and the staff very attentive. The reception staff were very useful for any queries about the room or the area. The walls are very thin however so you can hear the other rooms around you and the traffic outside on the street. Having said that I wasn't too bothered by this, just something you deal with, bed was comfy too so not too difficult to sleep.

Fantastic hotel. personally I think the shower could be bigger but that was my only gripe. everything and everyone was so inviting and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

It was a fantastic trip. We had never been to Dublin before and I would go back to the hotel in a heart beat.

Convenient location, room was small but efficient. Washroom looked bit run down but I only stayed one night so didn't bother me too much. Accommodating staff.

Well located and exactly as we expected. Room small but we didn't spend much time in it anyway. Ideal if you want a cheap stay in the heart of the city

It was OK. Centric, perfect for a short stay in Dublin or its surroundings.
