It was like a prison cell. Straight up horror show. Manager no help at all. I told her about the sex stains, she did not flinch. 80euro refund and out the door.

Nice place to stay
Nice place to stay, no matter with or without a tight budget. The front dest staff is helpful. The dining hall shall used to be a church! Which surprised me. Sorry for this but you can only enjoy some tv program only after 9 a.m. Since Dublin city center is not so big. Although the map says it locates remotely, this hostel is actually quite close to the centre. with a bicycle, you can reach the main street, O'connell street, in 5 min.

An old style hostel so individual lights or sockets by bunks. Could do with more frequent monitoring of the cleanliness of toilet areas. Reception staff were smashing, friendly and efficient. Good value for walking distance of Central city area.

Dublin International Hostel provided a clean space to sleep. The bathrooms were very clean. There was a TV Room, and a nice lounging area in the front room. There was vending machines to get snacks and drinks whenever you need them. Check in and out was super easy. My only complaint was that breakfast was very minimal. It was cereal, juice, and toast. It's just something to be aware of.

Cheap & uncomfy hostel, but very friendly staff
Second weekend staying here, rooms are quite old and not very comfy, but well heated, beds 190cm only with rails on both sides. Quiteness first time so so, but this time room was very noisy - basically me and group of six guys that came both days around 4am. Also wash basin is on the room, so we kept waking up each other by brushing teeth etc. Light is also only on the ceiling and electric plugs quite difficult to reach. However staff was always very very friendly and welcoming, also common area is quite nice, especially dining room placed in an old church. Showers in UG are old and bit scary, the ones in 3rd floor are new and nice. Kitchen well equipped, but full of threats like "3000€ fine if you activate fire alarm" Breakfast is hostel standard - toast bread, butter, jam, musli, what is nice is that they serve it till 11 a.m.

Good for a quick trip
A good place to stay during a quick trip in Dublin. The staff is very nice and they have lockers where you can store your luggage during the day after you check out.

not impressed at all
staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Room i stayed in had only one light for whole room. Closest toilet desperately in need of a repair job had no ceiling Shower room was mouldy on roof and sides A lot of shouting and carry on by other guests after hours, but no staff intervened Best thing I can say about the place was the breakfast was great and the wait staff very friendly

For a hostel it was perfect for one night, only problems were you’d have to go down one flight of stairs to get to the bathroom, not good for night trips! And the windows only open a slight crack and it was in the mid 20s degrees that weekend Everything else was fine, staff very helpful

Two night break
I stayed with my 19 year old daughter for 2 night and we had a private room which was great. All hotels in Dublin are so expensive so to find a reasonable priced hostel was great. Shower and bathroom facilities next door to our room were great, always clean which was good considering how busy the hostel was. Breakfast was toast and cereal so pretty basic but I wouldn't expect anything more for the price. The only issue we had was just one plug socket in the whole room but that wasn't too big a deal. Staff were all friendly and helpful which was impressive considering how busy it was there throughout the day. I would stay there again, location was good, about 15-20 mins walk to the centre of the city.

Fantastic value - highly recommend!
Everything about this hostel exceeded my expectations. I selected it because it had free, off-street parking, laundry facilities and a private room for my daughter and myself. My car was safe in the adjoining gated car park and they let me leave it there for a few extra hours while we toured the city after check-out. It is constructed of 3 buildings, one of which is an old church, connected by closed hallways so was fun to explore. Wifi was so strong we could actually get it in our room upstairs. The room had 4 beds, two bunks, but we were the only 2 in there. Breakfast in the church was basic but filling and so cool to be in that building. Laundry room was clean, machines worked very well and it only cost 5 euros to wash and dry a full load. Staff was relaxed, helpful and friendly and other guests were quite varied from seniors, families to the regular hostel crowd of young travelers. Quiet hours were respected by all. Showers were hot and available.

Stayed here 2 nights to tour Dublin. Can't beat $20/night. WiFi is excellent, no trouble connecting. Bathrooms were nice, up to date. Only negatives are the lack of plug ins in the room (2 outlets for 10 people) and the breakfast, which was cereal and toast. But that was no big deal to me as it was only $20/night. I simply headed out for the day and got whatever I wanted at a coffee shop. Excellent option for those who simply want a clean, functional, safe place to sleep and shower without spending a lot.

Great place close to many attractions
I stayed here twice..at the beginning and end of my trip to Ireland. Am an older (70) person travelling solo. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm with a large immaculate washroom just across the hall. Dorm was spacious with all 6 lockers functioning. Linens were clean. Rooms cared for. Lots of space to sit and chat with others. The breakfasts were grand..I especially like a granola start to my day. Serving staff were so kind and friendly. Although there was no onsite laptop for guests to use, there was an internet cafe close by. Dont miss the Hugh Lane Gallery!
