Good location. Just a few minutes from temple bar.Posted Dec 1, 2015
Hotel was comfortable and clean. Conveniently close to temple bar, but far away enough that it was perfectly quiet when it came to sleeping. Staff were mostly pleasant. Would happily stay again.

Handy to Temple Bar without too much party noisePosted Sep 30, 2015
Nice place to stay. Would stay there again. Nothing more to say, so I hope this works this time.

Be careful about staying here on a weekendPosted Sep 24, 2015
Cons: Better soundproofing of rooms and bathroom design/fixtures
Location: Christ Church Cathedral, St. Patrick's, Dublin Castle all minutes away.
This hotel has a nice location convenient to many of the popular sites south of the river -- Christ Church, Saint Patick's, and Dublin Castle were all just a few minutes away. We also found the hotel staff to be quite friendly. Our room was clean and more spacious than I expected. Over a several night stay, we tried both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant -- breakfast was OK, dinner was better. I had two problems with this hotel, one of which will prevent me from staying here again when visiting Dublin. First, the bathroom, while quite large is very poorly designed. The mirror is not in front of the sink (makes shaving a challenge), the sink faucets are not designed for the sink and the water barely clears the back end of the sink making simple chores such as washing hands more interesting than necessary, and finally the venting system is not adequate so condensation will form on all surfaces after a shower. The most troubling aspect of this hotel, and why I would never recommend it to a friend, is noise from the street could be be quite clearly heard in our room. Vehicle traffic, people conversing on the street in front of the hotel, and patrons from a neighboring pub taking a smoke break all could be heard from our room with the windows closed. This noise was unbearable on the weekends, particularly Saturday, when a bar downstairs had a DJ blasting music until close to midnight. Again, this was all with the windows CLOSED.

Good choice for a Dublin visitPosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: We loved the location. Not a lot of outside noise.
Cons: Updating the bathroom would help a great deal. It is a good size but the vent didn't work well.
Location: Close to everything. You have a great bakery around the corner called The Bakery for take away muffins and strudel. Queen of Tarts is close too.
The hotel is in a great location. It is easy to walk or hop on a local bus to any of Dublin's wonderful attractions. It is on the edge of Temple Bar so it was very quiet even though we were there for the Rugby Championships. While we didn't hear much outside noise, the walls are thin and one night we heard our next door neighbor loudly take apart his entire closet. Besides the great location, the staff were extremely attentive. They stored our bags for us when we arrived and our room wasn't ready. Then after check in we had a few minor issues with room cleanliness. Our tea kettle had mold in it and our cups clearly weren't clean. We called down to the front desk and these problems were remedied right away. The only other problem during the stay was the bathroom vent really didn't do anything if you took a hot shower the entire room not only the bathroom was foggy and humid. Suddenly the tea kettle problem made a lot more sense. We'd just open a window since it wasn't that cold out to get some cool air in the room. Fixing the bathroom vent would solve a lot of problems. The bathroom was quite spacious though, the shower had great water pressure and consistent temperature. Our bed was very comfortable and the TV worked very well as a TV and radio. Overall, we thought it was a good choice for a stay in Dublin. It really is in the heart of everything.

Overpriced for modest facilityPosted Sep 4, 2015
The facility had tiny rooms, old furniture and no lobby to speak of. Lots of street noise, but had to keep window open or too hot to sleep. Centrally located, but so were dozens of other hotels that likely offer nicer accommodations for same price. Best feature of hotel was its friendly staff, who addressed every request with speed and competence.

Useful hotel in a central locationPosted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
Useful hotel right at the end of Temple Bar. Friendly, helpful staff checked us in early. Discount vouchers for Oscars cafe useful. Bathroom a bit tired but usable. Rooms quite hot/stuffy on a hot August weekend. Overall highly recommend it.

Close to temple bar actionPosted Aug 18, 2015
The hotel is on the end of temple bar so you get all the action with none of the noise. The staff were lovely, the room had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. We didn't have breakfast included but we did try it and it was delicious, with a great selection of food.
