Overall nice hotel but with a few issues

We were overall reasonably happy with this hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly / helpful staff. Free parking in an underground parking lot. The hotel is within walking distance to a Luas tram stop that goes to Dublin city centre, as well as a shopping centre, several restaurants, a Lidl, and a Tesco.
There were however a few negatives which were sufficient to bump the rating down to a 3 for me, mainly because they are unnecessary and easily fixed:
The hotel restaurant is not great - the food was pretty mediocre and menu was inaccurate in terms of what was available. It has an unusually early closing time (9.30pm). The bar was littered with dirty plates, glasses and cutlery etc, every time we visited, despite staff not being very busy. The only positive thing I can say about the restaurant is that the staff were friendly.
The pool/gym is actually a separate business with an interconnecting door to the hotel. That means that is is generally quite busy, so don't expect the kind of calm/relaxed atmosphere that you would get in a hotel with its own health suite. One obvious oversight is that the gym showers don't provide any shampoo, and the shampoo in the hotel rooms are in dispensers fixed to the wall, so you're forced to buy your own shampoo if you didn't bring any. The pool is also way too warm for doing laps comfortably - it's more like jacuzzi temperature.
All of the negatives are easily fixed with just a little attention to detail from the management.
