Great Little Hotel

Posted Oct 10, 2016
Pros: Cooked to order breakfast and within walking distance of several good restaurants for dinner. Frequent buses into Dublin.
Cons: Night light in bedroom ceiling which I found annoying. Bedrooms on front suffer from road noise.
This a small hotel in Lucan within walking distance of the town centre and many good restaurants. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming when you arrive. The room we had was a double with a really good bed, lovely hot shower and spare electrical points to plug in accessories such as lap tops etc. You also get a kettle and a generous supply of tea and coffee. You have a choice of breakfast between continental and full English. Either are very good and much better than some major chain hotel breakfasts! Also the hotel is just 30 minutes from Dublin airport. Probably too far out for visiting Dublin each day but ideal for the surrounding areas. Have had a very pleasant stay here.

Schönes kleines B&B Hotel in Lucan/Dublin.

Posted Aug 24, 2016
Location: In Lucan Village, nahe Dublin.
Best B&B Hotel in Lucan/Dublin! Very kind & helpful hosts, lovely & clean rooms and a tasty self cooked breakfast. ***** 5 Stars *****

B&B en las afueras de Dublín

Posted Aug 11, 2016

Quiet and close to transportation

Absolutely loved this Bed and Breakfast! Perfect location in Lucan. Took the Airport Hopper to and from Dublin Airport, and took bus 66 or 67 to and from Dublin and Lucan. Bus stops are around the corner, very easy to use. Breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious. Very clean and comfortable room and beds. The only downside is that the wifi didn't work well, which can be disappointing if you don't have international data or need to skype/FaceTime with family back home. My sister and I were up and out very early so we missed breakfast a few days, but we loved the friendly service and attention we received while staying there. They make you feel right at home. It was nice to come back to Moat Lodge after a day in Dublin or sightseeing, and sleep with the windows open while listening to the water running from the little river across the way. Across the street is a great pub and bistro, perfect for dinner and/or a pint after a long day. If I'm ever in Ireland again, I'll definitely stay here again!

Our host & hostess could not be more welcoming. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return to the Moat Lodge.
