Nice but dated areas

Overall experience was ok. Lobby and public areas of the hotels were very nice. Clean, modern. However as soon as you head towards the rooms, you instantly notice a drop in quality. Marks on the walls of the corridors, faded paint, dirty carpets as you're walking to the rooms. Walk into the rooms and it's a mixed bag. Again very clean, large, comfy bed etc. However, walk into the bathroom and you're greeted by features straight out of the 90's. I don't understand the logic of clearly spending a lot of money updating the look of each room, but then leaving very dated unnecessary features in each room. Even simple details such as a stainless steel ring around the temperature control of the tap, then a giant plastic temperature control. Kind of ruins the updated modern look that they're clearly trying to achieve. The Devil is in the details. Not sure I'd stay again for the price. Fairly confident you're able to find higher quality in just as good a location.
