Best service. Friendly stafe, clean facility. Highly recommend if your looking to visit Dublin. Walking distance to city center with great food and amenities. Try the breakfast place next door, best pancakes and eggs I've had.

boutique hotel in newly gentrified area

Posted Jul 18, 2016
The Marker Hotel is a newish hotel in an area of Dublin that has a lot of building going on around it. The hotel itself is a striking checkerboard design that fits right in. It is next door to the Grand Canal Theater (newly re-named the Bord Gais Theater (if you can believe!) for the local Gas Company). Everything in the hotel is well appointed, from the bar and restaurant to the very spacious marble bath with full tub and separate shower. The shower even has a 7" shower head, which as I am 6'2", is much appreciated. All the local landmarks can be walked to in 20-30 scenic minutes, or cabs are plentiful, and reasonable.

Hotel is beautiful, with a fatal flaw.

Posted Jul 11, 2016
It's hard to write a poor review because hotel is gorgeous and the staff top-notch. However, for being a brand new hotel, the air conditioning is dismal. The first night my room was a sweatbox, and the staff was very helpful in finding another room, which was initially cold. However, in the middle of the night that room also became stuffy and difficult to sleep in. Even with the AC fan on, air barely flows, and it's not cold. You also cannot open the windows in this hotel, so you're stuck in a hot box. The weather wasn't hot either - low 70s with rain/cloud mix.

Not the quality it markets and sells itself on, very disappointed.

Lovely modern hotel near the Quays.

Hotel has excellent staff, rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Only slight negative was that the brasserie area for breakfast felt a bit 'airport hotelish' with small tables. Buffet was good though. Didn't have a chance to see the spa or roof terrace.

Great Hotel for business stay

Posted Jun 29, 2016
Quick trip to Dublin for business. Hotel was very nice, I got a king size room and it had a huge bath and walk in shower. Good pool and sauna didn't use gym but it looked like it had a lot of equipment. would stay again.

Fantastic place to stay

The Marker Hotel is a great place to stay. Not too far from the centre of Dublin but far enough to get away from all the hustle and bustle. The dockland area that has been built up is very modern and is a great place to stay and have a nice night out but one thing is that Dublin has now become very expensive and you feel like you are being ripped off by all the bars and restaurants
