Lovely staff and food.

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Staff were lovely and the food and breakfast was lovely. Room was clean. It would be lovely to see the bedroom furniture getting a wee makeover. I would say that would bring it up to a 4 star hotel. I would stay again.

not worth the money...please read before booking

No heating in the room.if I went out, staff would nearly interrogate me on way back in even after showing key card.i asked about heating.i was told it must b just me but after speaking to other guests they got the same attitude and reply.i am a young woman,I don't have a look of a troublemaker but the hotel staff treated me like one.when I asked if rooms wer smoking rooms or if I needed to go outside the receptionist got extremely angry with me and told me one these exact words "don't you dare smoke in the room".i was flabbergasted. I only asked so I knew and every time I came down and outside for a cigarette and back in I was stopped EVERY time. It was very demeaning and belittling.. no wonder the reputation of the plaza has gone downhill so much. I definitely won't be staying der again and I most definitely won't be recommending it to anyone. I would have been treated better in a homeless hostel

everything was perfect and comfortable except the problem we had which was the ketchup all over our sheet that was from whomever may have been there before us. We did get a member of staff to change it for us but as u can imagine it would still make you shiver.

Cons: Cooked breakfast items were dry and overexposed to heat lamps.
Location: Asian 'fusion' restaurant attached to hotel has good food.
Clean room, facilities more than adequate. Staff friendly. Wifi signal a bit weak but workable.

Short Overnight Stay

Staff were the best things about this hotel to be fair. Very helpful and made me feel welcomed. The hotel however is tired/dated. It reminded me of 80's motel complexes. Functional full stop. Don't book expecting a 5 star lavish hotel as you are not looking at the right place. Its a 4 star hotel based mainly on its facilities rather than style! The comments about noise are subjective as I presume that if you stay over a weekend (when the club is open) it probably is like sleeping on you teenage son/daughters sub woofer :) The doors are not soundproofed at all and i had the great delight in hearing an amorous couple exchange pleasantries to one another..... obviously found their respective room/s too confining. That said, after that (around midnight) its was fairly quiet - you can hear the road noises as the windows are very dated - I live near a busy motorway so its didn't bother me :) The wifi was excellent and I was able to use my laptop and VPN connection easily. Parking was interesting, its free outside and under the hotel despite the signs warning you that failure to display a valid parking ticket will lead to clamping etc....? Bizarre really as the machines don't work and the police see to use it to park there cars there too :) They were kind enough to tell me the best place to park btw! In summary - it was fine for the money and short stay - longer and perhaps my experience would have been different. Staff were definitely my reason for scoring this hotel well.
