Centrally located hotel near tourist attractions

I booked the Trinity City Hotel because of its central location to Trinity College Dublin and other tourist destinations in the city. It is ideally situated just north of the university and very walkable to attractions such as Temple Bar, the Irish Whiskey Museum, pick up points for Paddywagon Tours, and more. Pros: location; proximity to restaurants and tourist attractions; easy to spot or find if you are driving; on site restaurant and bar; on site breakfast which can be included in your reservation rate. Cons: hotel was undergoing renovations that made the space a little noisy, which wouldn't have been a problem had I not called ahead of time to see if construction was going to be done (I saw on their profile a mention of it) and been told by the hotel staff person I spoke with that no such construction would be going on during my stay; my room was very tight, to the extent that there was no convenient location to place my two big bags (I'd been traveling for a few weeks and was also joined by another companion during my stay there) and I'd have to step around or over luggage any time I maneuvered around the room; the housekeeper rearranging some of my things when she came in to clean, which is probably a personal preference, but I personally don't like coming back from being out of the room to find that my things were out of place; not a modern room - amenities are basic and the feel is a little outdated; no 24 hour room service; restaurant and bar close early.
