Great hotel but ...

Reception staff: 1st person - great; 2nd person - indifferent, unfriendly unhelpful.
Bathroom in nonsmoking room smelled like previous guest had smoked in it.
Cabinet door to minifridge was broken at the hinges.
Lots of street noise until around 3 a.m. including public transportation/light rail.
Not a good place to try to park a car.
Surrounding businesses on block and across the street look shoddy and worn but a walk to the corner gets you to O'Connell Street, which is better.
The hotel common areas and rooms are very nice and within walking distance of many attractions.
Breakfast was a bit better than typical hotel fare. There's also a pub that serves food until 9 p.m.
