The hotel is very nice - lovely, friendly and helpful staff, good-size and very comfortable, cosy rooms, very clean (in fact house-keeping was excellent), nice to have direct access to water. This should not be called a private beach, because it's simply a concrete platform on the rocks with sun decks laid out and easy access to water (not suitable for small children, as there are no shallow spots anywhere).
For adults it's absolutely great to chill on a sun-deck, enjoy bar snacks and drinks, absolutely wonderful panoramic views!

This hotel was expectional. It was beautifully maintained and we were very happy with our room. The beds were very comfortable.
It is in a perfect location as were just a few minutes from the old town. This location was perfect for us as we were travelling with our children, ages 11 and 8 years.
It has a beautiful outdoor courtyard where we would have breakfast every morning.
Check in staff was very friendly and efficient. We will most definitely stay at the Hilton again And would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for my son's wedding which was also held at the hotel. Guests said it was the best wedding ever. The hotel is in a wonderfully central position but away from the crowds of Dubrovnik so it is a peaceful setting.

"The most intimate and romantic hotel in Dubrovnik"
We stayed in Villa Dubrovnik three nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
This hotel is luxurious, has great amenities, excellent service, and in our view the best location to relax and spend romantic and intimate vacation time.

We stayed at the Bellevue for the final three nights of our honeymoon. A bottle of prosecco and a welcome letter of congratulations on our marriage from the manager awaited us - addressed to Mr & Mrs, despite us being Mr and Mr (!!), but no bother - and we enjoyed every second of our stay. The room was large with breathtaking views, and only 15 minutes walk also to the old town. Breakfast and wifi were included and both were excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful or polite. The Jewel in this hotel's crown, however, was the beach - a private area for guests which led into the stunning bay, surrounded by cliffs which we had endless fun jumping from. We certainly hope to return one day.

Overall it is a very modern, new, well maintained hotel.
Breakfast is first class and with all the western staples and a few Adriatic twists.
The beach is private, clean and quiet. Towel service is on point. There are always some free loungers and parasols to be found. Beach area is artificial tiny pebbles leading in to more natural pebbles and rocks and a quick drop into the deep dark bay.
The water is good enough for a swim but far from breath taking and crystal clear like in other places along the Croatian coast. This is to be expected in a serviceable bay.
Views of the bay especially at sunset are unique and picturesque.
The pools indoor and outdoor are clean and modern with plenty of loungers. We didn't spend any time by the pool as we are beach people.
The room we stayed in was the basic mountain view.
We ended up really liking being on the ground floor after being hesitant at first. You can jump out of one of the side doors and cut your travel time to the beach to seconds. Ground floor highly recommended. The beds and couch were comfortable, although the pillows were hard and lumpy made of the worst memory foam I've ever encountered.
Any of the staff I encountered were friendly and quick to help. However, not once were we approached on the beach for drinks as advertised. I am a big tipper when served right and let's just say those lazy servers missed out.
I recommend this hotel to families and couples. Singles steer well clear of Slano in general or you wil

Like other reviewers have pointed out, this hotel is good, pleasant but not five star. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and some of the staff are very helpful. The spa facilities are very tired and overall the standard of service was good not excellent - the concierge didn't seem to know much at all and we found out more just by using the internet. The breakfast was plentiful but the quality was only OK, probably because this hotel isn't independent but is part of a four hotel resort complex and therefore it's mass catering. The location is good, handy for everything and if you get a good price and go expecting a large resort hotel, that's fine. The swimming pools were good and there is a lovely bar for evening cocktails.

Fantastic chilled out resort hotel with an amazing setting. Great range of facilities. Several restaurants serving good quality food - service can be variable. Apartment was spacious. Hotel transfers (bus and boat) to Dubrovnik only run at set times and require to be pre booked and paid for in advance - can work out costly.

This hotel is beautiful and the rooms were exceptional. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Staff were very polite and welcoming.
Only downfall for our family was that the pools were small and there is no beach/shore. Therefore for our children the location was not the best.
We took at day trip to an island by boat that was organized by the hotel. This day was highlight of our stay. We would stay at the Royal Princess again.

Travelled as a couple, booked very late and stayed 7 days early August. Hotel reception was friendly and efficient from the moment we stepped out of the taxi. The room was modern and clean. We had 2 large single beds pushed together rather than a double. Balcony view over pool and sea but not overlooked by others. Minimalist design made it tricky to store empty luggage of aircraft hold size.
Pool for little ones and bigger pool with swim up bar. Rocky access to sea and this could be tricky when there are waves. Lounger reserving with towels starts at 07:00 but we had no trouble finding 2 and an umbrella much later. The staff are attentive to lounger hogging and will help if asked.
Four restaurants of which 3 are open in the evening. We tried 2 and staff were keen to make meals special. Food is of good quality but its all a little expensive. Breakfast buffet great selection and set us up for the day.
Staff were always smiling and helpful, though sometimes you have to ask. They delivered a birthday cake for my wife's birthday, even though we hadn't mentioned it! Nice touch and sign of a well organised hotel.
The location is good but probably a bit far out to walk to the old town or the commercial port. The No 4 bus route starts outside the hotel and goes to Dubrovnik Pile Gate. Reception will sell tickets (12 kuna), or buy them on the bus (15 kuna, have the right money).
Getting to ferries at Gruz Port was more challenging but taxis (80 kuna) easy.
Would be happy to go again.
