An excellent hotel that ticked all the boxes.

Pros: The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were cleaned every day. An excellent hotel.
Location: The hotel is near the old city of Dubrovnik which is very interesting full of history and lots of restaurants.
We had extremely good experience at the Hotel Argentina. It is opposite the Villa Glavic and is part of the same group. As it was at the end of the season and not many people were there, (dates from 3rd to 9th Nov) they put us in the main hotel.

Nice hotel with great views and close to old citt

Very nice and convenient hotel with a less than 10 minute walk to the old city. Breakfast was nice with great views of the ocean and city.

A word of warning

Pros: Bars, views, luxury, staff.
Cons: Their accounting procedures.
Location: Ten minute downhill walk to the old town - best view of all.
We were upgraded at check-in to Villa Orsola so were very happy. A la carte breakfast is served only for guests staying in the annexe. The experience was wonderful but not so good when we checked our credit card statement after departure and found we had been charged for the accommodation on check-in and again on check-out. When we were asked for our CC we assumed it was for sundries. We were overcharged more than 1300 AUD and for the first 48 hours the hotel denied we had been overcharged. Finally I took a photo of the CC statement on the iPad (we are still travelling) and emailed it. Only then were Hotel Argentina and Villa Orsola able to find the overcharge. Disgraceful for a five star hotel but thankfully all resolved now. The hotel is beautifully located and luxuriously appointed.

Very impressed

I found the villa to be very good. It's the annex for the hotel Argentina which itself is excellent. All of the facilities are excellent there, and is where the restaurant/bars/breakfast is. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A pleasant 10 minute walk from old town as well. Only slight downside was that the TV was very difficult to operate, but when we told hotel staff about this, they fixed immediately.

Nice location, disappointing service and room

Hotel is beautiful but my room was in the building in back and across the street. The staff was not helpful or accurate in telling me the way to get there. I ended up climbing way too many steps with 2 heavy bags in tow. The bellman luckily helped get my luggage to my room. There was absolutely no view and the room was very dark. Lovely hotel close to amenities.

Pros: The grounds and view were stunning.
Cons: Coffee/tea facilities in room.
Location: Central location, 10 minute walk to Old Town, pubs, restaurants, cable car. Shuttle bus within walking distance (20 mins or so)
Lovely hotel with a beautiful view of the adriatic, Island of Lokrum and the Old Town. Good facilities, lovely gardens and outdoor pool area, spa and restaurant/bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to town.

Pros: Views, breakfast and location

Location: 15 minute walk from the Old Town
We arrived late in the evening, only to find that no room had been reserved for us and that Villa Glavic was actually closed. However, we were swiftly allocated a room in the main hotel, Grand Villa Argentina, on the coast and where all the facilities are located. So we had some difficulty at check in, which was repeated at check out. This had fantastic views of the sea (which we had actually requested in the original booking) and old town, with a small balcony. The rooms were clean and tidy, but standard size, dated and with twin beds put together. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, access down to the sea pool was closed, indoor pool was standard. Great location,15 minute walk from the old town. Overall, we would rate this a 4 start hotel in today's standards.
