Stayed in a villa right on the sea front with amazing views and sounds of the sea. The villa was very modern - huge comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with good shower over bath. Small kitchen - might struggle to cook a meal but OK for basics (and it does have a kettle). Beach bar/restaurant serving excellent food was a stone's throw away, as was the pool. Didn't use the facilities in the actual hotel, but had meals at the pizzeria and the all a carte restaurants as well as the beach bar - all excellent. The staff were lovely at all of the venues and hotel reception. Couldn't fault them. Mlini itself is very small but beautiful - great access to Dubrovnik old town and Cavtat by water taxi or shuttle bus from the hotel. The only thing that needs to be improved is the music they play during the day at the pool and evenings in the bars - a bit of variety would be nice!!

Visiting in Autumn we wanted a comfortable hotel with an indoor pool. Our only small disappointment was that the pool was not warm enough unless you were exerting yourself swimming lengths. Otherwise we felt we got what we paid for from such a hotel. The sea room view with balcony was a good investment - lovely room and great to wake up and walk out to views of the old town and Lokrum. Breakfast on the terrace offers the same luxury. The location is ideal, just 5 mins' walk to the Old Town. All in all, not the cheapest but a superb treat.

"Classy hotel within walking distance.of old town"
Lovely location above a bay, with an inspiring view out to sea. The weather was warm enough for us to have breakfast on the patio twice in our four-night stay.
The standard rooms are perhaps closer to four-star than five in terms of size, but each has a sea-facing balcony, which is a big plus.
The spa is well-appointed, with a shaped pool (not ideal for swimming lengths, if that's your preference) and the sauna and steam room were cooler than I expected them to be. (Also remarked upon by a couple of others using them.) I suspect it was just that day.
The staff were outstanding throughout and very friendly (as was everyone else we encountered in Dubrovnik).
Tomislav, at breakfast, was both friendly and funny and could not do more, particularly when I was a little under the weather (not a hangover!) and he brought me herbal tea and a pot of honey. (I was later told Croatians consider honey to be a remedy for just about every ailment under the sun, and who knows, they may be right - it certainly made me feel a bit better!)
Altogether, an excellent stay.
Dubrovnik is a lovely city, with its spectacular views from the walls (which are a must), but a week would perhaps be too long without day trips.
To pass on a word of warning we were given a couple of times, it is best to avoid the high season when up to seven cruise ships a day bring an influx of thousands into what is a relatively small, enclosed old town.

On arrival the gentleman on the front desk was wonderful. The perfect start to our short honey moon.
We were taken to our beautiful room which had the most incredible sea view and rose petals on the bed. The small details and extra attention we received was so kind.
We ate breakfast every day which was fresh and tasty. We also opted to eat dinner in the hotel twice. The food was top class and while a little expensive the service was very attentive.
The spa was peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed a massage and use of the private jacuzzi on one of the days. It was a great way to relax after a wedding.
Every day we enjoyed the sunset from our balcony and I cannot over state how beautiful the view was.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Admiral Grand. It has a very sophisticated and modern interior and exterior design with great attention to every detail. It's quiet and peaceful with excellent spacious beach with great amenities and convenient access right outside the hotel. Easy access to towels and beach chairs.
The rooms are also spacious and very clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. Very good breakfast bar with a wide variety of choices. Overall relaxing atmosphere perfect for a quiet and relaxing vacation getaway.

Stayed Lafodia for 7 nights got transfers which were bit expensive but worth it if you're arriving late at night. The guy that picked us from the airport was very kind and the guy that pick us up in private boat. Overall I'd say the hotel was lovely... The staff were very friendly especially two staff that worked at the restaurant (Mateu and I can't remember the guys name.) I was expecting them to be rude from all the reviews that I read but I guess maybe because it was the low season they were not under much stress, but there was one rude blonde lady with glasses who was very rude, which quite bad because that can ruin the experience.
Breakfast was good.. but if you are staying more that 3/4 nights it can get a bit boring to have similar things every morning. But there's a good variety of different things.. from yoghurts, cereals, fruit to eggs, sausages and potatoes. They also provide coffee machines and croissants. Me and my friend only had a b&b room so other times we went to the local restaurants and in Dubrovnik. But did eat at the restaurant twice.. and I wouldn't recommend it to be honest but their pizzas are ok.
The room was nice and clean.. Was cleaned every morning. I was disappointed by their gym facilities... there is only two machines and not much else is provided. And their spa facilities are nice but I expected a bit more... however the sauna rooms were very nice
