Pros: The balcony was lovely to sit out in. The restaurant buffet was very pleasant.
Cons: An extra socket in the bedroom would be useful. Take a splitter so you can charge devices whilst watching tv.
Location: Bus stop right at the door. A nice promenade below restaurant
A clean and convenient two star hotel with a bus stop right outside and buses every 15 mins to town (15 kuna) taking 8 minutes. We had a lovely balcony view of the coast. The restaurant across the road offered a continental breakfast buffet and we had a package which offered a good range of evening food - a nice mix of European and local. You pay for drinks extra. Just down the road is a cinema / supermarket. Staff were very helpful and polite. I enjoyed my stay.

Pros: location to the beach and bus stop
Cons: modernise the rooms, cleanliness (mainly due to needing sprucing up), mould in rooms
Location: Great pebble beach (2 min walk away),Easy access to Old town - bus was very cheap - taxi was not too expensive either, Good restaurant near by- Tavern
The hotel was good for a short stay, it was close to the beach and had a bus stop outside its front doors. The bus ran every 15 mins and was cheap to Old Town/City. The hotel rooms had good air conditioning but needed a sprucing up/modernising. We found mould in our room but were hardly there so weren't overly bothered. Good shower but the cabinet itself was dirty/old/broken.

Pros: Its closeness to the shore
Cons: More tables in the rooms. Good buffet but lacks vegetables. We recommend at least tomatoes and cucumber.
Location: The closest location was the promenade street nearby, the harbour in Gruz and naturally the old town which could easily be reached by bus.
We were transferred to hotel Vis in the neighbourhood. The above ratings are for Hotel Vis and not Adriatic.

Pros: View from the balcony
Cons: Major renovation of the entire facility
Location: Adriatic Sea
There is a renovated bathroom and a great view from the balcony, but the beds (although they were all wrapped in sheets and blankets) are literally all torn and as if from the shelter (I accidentally removed the covers and was truly disgusted to see the complete deterioration of the mattresses). Adriatic is presented as a two-star hotel, but judging by the conditions of the beds it should have been minus two stars. However, the cleaning service was perfect, and the bathroom was very clean. The other problem is that there is no elevator, and neither there is an available valet (indeed, not for the two star hotel), and you will have to carry your own bag up the stars 3-4-5 floor, which is a pain. Another thing is that WI-FI is at the level of reception only, and in order for you to clear your messages or to use Skype you will have to go down every time. But the location is great, and that's why many British couples are coming back year after year. I don't think I will stay in this hotel again, but it is great for the undemanding youth.

Well sign posted, about 40 minute walk from the Old Town, The Adriatic has seen better days. On arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful, my room stank of urine and mould but the bed linen was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was in a different building, a dining room shared with another hotel. There was enough choice to fill your stomach, the fruit juice was poor, beautiful view from the room however. Private beach facilities were very good and altogether, once you got over the smell, it wasn't bad as the cheapest option available to me at the time. Ps. If you want to save a lot of walking the number 4 bus drops you right outside.

It is reasonably cheap and a 10 minute bus ride from the old town Rooms are clean and tidy Located close to a pebble beach and a strip of bars and restaurants - The hotel is very dated and needs redecorating - The breakfast and food is basic - The room did not have a fridge to keep cold drinks
