We stayed at Villa Anka for a week in a large room on the second floor with a kingsized bed and a single. There was a good sized kitchen, well supplied with all implements needed for cooking (and even a washing machine), and a bathroom off the bedroom with solar-heated shower in the tub. There was also a little balcony off the bedroom with a line for drying clothes, and wifi in the room which was not the strongest, but was adequate for our needs with 2-4 bars. We wanted to use Cavtat, a pleasant village in its own right, as a base for exploring Dubrovnik and the Konavle region with day-trips to Montenegro and Mostar. We had a car and wanted to park it somewhere which had on-site free parking (parking is a problem in Dubrovnik). For our purposes Villa Anka served excellently well. Anka herself, the proprietress, lives downstairs, and is both friendly and efficient in doing all she can to make her guests comfortable and the room well-maintained. Clean towels were brought several times during our stay, garbage was regularly emptied, and often gifts of home baking or fresh produce would appear on the table. The access to the town is direct via a staircase -- room to village is only 7 minutes -- but the incline is steep. Cavtat village has about 5 different swimming spots, two grocery stores (prices better than the city), a bus terminal, a travel agency to arrange day trips, restaurants, banks etc. It is excellently well-appointed as a base for exploring this area.
