And to this hotel three or four times now and it's a wonderful place. It has a great swimming area and whirlpool, and Old Chicago connected for food and Beverages and breakfast. And it's very close to downtown Dubuque only a 5 minute drive.

We've always loved staying at this property for its big pool, table games, and open atrium. Unfortunately, this will be our last stay. At check-in, they would not issue us a roll-away. They said that room wasn't eligible for one and if we had booked direct with them, we would've known that. However, we've stayed with them before and it was never an issue. So we drove to Target to get an air mattress. When we got our sheets and blankets delivered, a different employee stated the same thing - if you would've booked direct with us, you would've known you can't have a roll-away with your booking. However, roll-aways are listed on the features on Expedia. Breakfast was good. Lots of hot food options. The pool area was chaotic. I had to get the manager to have them remove a large, long-hair dog from the pool deck. I reminded that that is a health issue. I expect this kind of treatment and problems at a lower-end hotel, not a Best Western Plus.

Great experience overall. We went during the week, so the pool had hardly any other people until Friday rolled around. Water was chillier than I'd like, but didnt bother the kids. Rooms were clean, housekeeping was friendly and made sure we had enough for our family. Will definitely be staying here again!

The kids liked the pool. The breakfast was good. The rooms were pretty standard, nothing too fancy. The pool was extremely over crowded, and the hotel was very noisy. People running up and down the halls until past midnight.

Pool front room was very loud, it sounds like people had music playing and ping pong tournaments going until well after the pool was closed! Other than that the staff was nice the pool it self was great, the breakfast was good

Didn't expect it to be that busy on New year eve. Could not get into the hot tub due to all the kids sittting in there and using it. Had I known it would have been that busy would have went some where else. Also couldn't get into the room a little earlier.

Nice place, nice people, and nice facility. Could use a little updating in the rooms. Had a little trouble with the drain in the bathtub. No guide or info on the tv, so ni idea of what I was going to watch, or what I was watching, unless I knew of it already. Bed was good and comfortable!!

Unknown to us when we made our reservation, the pool and rec area was closed. Expedia claimed to not know. The hotel claimed it was noted on their website. We pointed out to them that it was not. Expedia did refund our money. Front desk was closed without warning and no one could be reached for assistance. Only answering machines which were “full”.

The property offered an open pool and play area. The hotel was contacted prior to visit to check on services offered. They guaranteed the pool and play area would be open. We were doing a reunion with five rooms. The services offered were not available.

Townie with Cabin Fever. Pool for 3 Tweens
Live in town. Had a 5 day weekend due to snow & cold with 3 cooped up boy kids. Needed a break from cabin fever. Best pool in town. Requested a poolside room, could see the dudes from our room window. For less than $100, we swam, played ping pong and pool, had the included breakfast buffet, and played board games in the vast, well lit and warm central space by the pool. Our boys (8, 10, and 13) swam from 1200 check in till dinner, after dinner till close at 2200, and after breakfast until 1100 check out. Showers were warm. Beds comfy. Staff hand ample quarters on hand for exchange for the arcade and “Always a winner,” pool-friendly, rubber ducky claw game. Great time. Super cost effective winter escape.

My biggest complaint is the HEAVY chlorine smell, the whole swimming area was literally freezing and the condensation above the pool is dripping off the rusty beams into the pool. Beds weren't really comfortable and rooms were hot with fans on. Stay was good still. Staff were friendly and they had a nice breakfast area.

Clean room, great location, the pool area was super cool too if you’re with a group. The elevator was out when we were there but we didn’t need it anyway. Also, the only odd thing for us specifically was that our room was very warm. It’s December and we had to use the air conditioning bc the room kept going up to about 76. Breakfast was fine as well.

Awesome Place to stay
This hotel was nice! The ambiance was great, weather you are on business, family vacation, or a little romantic getaway it's perfect for the occasion. The rooms are nice clean and spacious with ice machines and vending machines in the hallway. There is an entrance/exit with very close parking no matter where you are located in the hotel. There is a restaurant connected to it, in case you get hungry or would like to have a cocktail. Lastly there is an indoor heated pool and hot tub which is absolutely amazing!

We booked our stay as we were going to Galena and didn't want to drive far afterwards. Very clean with a nice place to eat as well!
