To say your in a busy area of the city you wouldn't tell as its so quiet. Walking distance to everything you could need. Would definitely book again.

Poor experience in Düsseldorf
Arrived for our one night stay to find out that a marathon race in town and they lock town down for entire next day. Would be stuck there till four pm. Our check out is at 11:00. We decided not to stay due to missing our next check in and that we were placed eight flights up with no elevator. I have two bad knees and husband has a bad hip. We were charged full amount and feel we deserve credit or compensation.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Nachricht. Ja, bei check-in wiesen wir darauf hin, dass ein Marathon in der Stadt stattfindet und die Straßen rund um die Laufstrecke gesperrt sind ab SO-Morgen, 06 Uhr bis ca. 16 Uhr. Daraufhin überlegten Sie, ob Sie nicht direkt zu Ihrem nächsten Reiseziel durchfahren. Wir boten an, Ihr Gepäck nach der check-out Zeit in unseren Gepäckraum aufzubewahren und die Gäste hätten Zeit in die Stadt zu gehen etc. und am Ende gegen 16 Uhr ihr Gepäck wieder abzuholen und abzureisen. Sie entschlossen sich, einzuchecken. Ihr Zimmer war im 4. OG unseres Hotels. Weder in den online Systemen noch auf unserer Homepage ist das Vorhandenseins eines Aufzugs angezeigt. Unser Hotel verfügt nur über 4 Stockwerke. Nachdem die Gäste wieder die Treppe herunterkamen wurde über das Frühstück gesprochen, das wir ihnen gerne auch eine Stunde früher als gewöhnlich am Sonntag vorbereiten würden. Das wurde zufrieden aufgenommen und KEIN Wort über einen gewünschten Zimmerwechsel verloren. Wenn man uns darauf angesprochen hätte, wäre sicher eine zufriedenstellende Lösung mit einem Umzug in das 1. OG gefunden worden.

Nice hotel, excellent staff.
As stated in the title , the staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. Room was clean and functional. 20 minutes walk from Altstadt or a quick, reliable trip on the underground.

Short stay
Comfortable hotel to stay, good size room, friendly staff, made you feel welcome. Good location 15 min walk to station, and 15 min walk to Dusseldorf city centre.

The hotel service staff was very co-operative and good. But some of your customers were knocking the door of my room in the midnight which disturbed my sleep. The room was very small.

Good location near Koenigsallee, friendly staff
We had a nice stay here - the wifi was a bit erratic but the staff really friendly. A short walk from the shops of Koenigsallee, it wasn't far from the Altstadt either.

Honest 3 stars located downtown
Building needs to be refurbished or at least to be renewed. Room clean, spacious but bathroom too tight. Staff every polite but reception closed at night. If cheap 3 star hotel in downtown is the target, then it is ok.

Close to Koenigsalee, big underground corporate WestLB parking just 60 m from the hotel, inner yard could be offered for after-dinner cigar with whiskey or cognac, whatever one likes

For the cost, the hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and nice. There was no elevator in the building, but the staff carried my suitcase which made it easier.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The only down sides were: 1) the fact that in the double room, instead of a double bed they had two single mattresses placed together, which meant that one you could "get stuck" in the dent in between the two beds at night, and 2) the fact that our room window was placed right next to the bright, electric "Hotel" sign facing the main street, which meant that at night it wasn't entirely dark in the room and you could hear the cars passing by. If you're not troubled by small issues like this though, it is a great hotel for the price! I would definitely recommend it to people with a tight budget!

Smallest room I ever stayed in,cold, mould on wall
I had to be in Dusseldorf in the last minute for a trade fair.The hotel has an appealing entrance with a nice feel to it, but in the hotel outside the entrance area all the carpets are stained black. The room was the smallest room of any hotel I have ever stayed in, with no room for a chair or desk. There were two single beds with enough space to stand between them, a small wardrobe with a cracked mirror on the door at the entrance with a place to put one suitcase & one small bedside table for both beds.The room smelled of mould. The outisde wall was wet under the window taking up the whole space facing the outside and had been recently painted in an attempt to hide the problem and the paint was peeling off. To alleviate the problem the staff had left the window open, and the room was cold.The radiator could not cope and the room stayed cold the whole night. I went down to reception to complain and was told, what do u want? it is cold outside.I asked for an electric heater and was told tomorrow they would ask the owner and the next day they brought the heater, which sufficed.The bed had on the side a large headboard that run the side of the bed and was fixed to the wall to keep the wall from getting dirty. In the night I turned over and it fell down, The hotel did not offer the discounted travel tickets the city provides for hotel guests,I would strongly advise against using the hotel. Be warned!

Great little hotel near the Ko lots of restaurants and bars in surrounding area. Staff were very friendly and helpful! They were happy to help with information about Dusseldorf and various transport options - they really seem to care about guests. I was recommended Il Mercato restaurant just down the street for dinner and it was very good. I stayed 2 nights in single room which was small but spotless and the shower was great! For a cheap hotel without the trimmings but with friendly service I would definitely recommend Herzog. 5 mins walk to Ko and 20 mins walk to old town. Main train station is also close by.

Herzog hotel Dusseldorf
I've stay in the hotel for 2 days. The hotel and my room was very clean, the stuff was really helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is really close to main attractions of Düsseldorf and all the museums,clubs etc. The room was clean every day and the breakfast was really nice. I totally recommended the hotel.

Ich hatte das kleine Einzelzimmer und habe das bekommen was ich erwartet habe. Sehr klein aber dennoch gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es schien alles sehr sauber zu sein. Einzig der Heizkörper war etwas laut, aber nicht weiter der Rede wert. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Gerne wieder.

Hotel Hertzog
Fint centralt beliggende hotel - rent og pænt. Et minus er toilettet, man skal på ingen måde være overvægtig, så er det umuligt at komme på toilettet. Toilettet er klemt ind mellem væggen og brusekabinen. Der er 45 cm, så der er meget meget trangt.

Cocuklu bir aile olarak, cok rahat ettik. Otel sahibi ve calisanlariyla tam bir Turk konuksever. Belma hanimin muhtesem kahvaltisi ve ev sahipligi icin cok tesekkur ederiz. Sehir merkezine 100 m, cok temiz bir otel.

Perfekt für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Düsseldorf
Sehr nette Frau am Empfang. Sauber und zentral gelegen. Waren bereits zum zweiten Mal dort, für einen Abend an der Promenade und in der Altstadt. Für solche Gelegenheiten ein absoluter Tipp.
