Nice and close to the centre.

Posted Dec 7, 2016
Pros: Nice and close to the centre without being too close.
Cons: Needs a maintenance person on duty at all times.
Location: Close enough to shops
Was a lovely hotel, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with the room and the staff tried their best to sort it for us but there wasn't much they could do.

Man City fans in Germany

Posted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: Friendliness of staff. Location
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in room. There is a kettle. No cups only tumblers?
Location: Lively places to eat and drink ten minute taxi ride away. Nice peaceful location, good base to operate from.
Great value for money. German public brilliant. Dusseldorf top European city

Small and basic

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was OK. Reception staff varied from very helpful to "please don't bother me"
Cons: It shouldn't be difficult to get a few English channels on the TV, and put some basic tea, coffee, sugar etc in the room
The hotel is reasonably located, about a 15 minute level walk into town, but, the rooms are minuscule and only basically equipped. There's a kettle but no ingredients, there's a TV but no English channels. In spite of what the website says the bar area is just some chairs in reception, the bar is a locked fridge where everything seems to cost 2.50 euro's. To illustrate how "snug" the rooms are, in ours one side of the double bed was against the wall, and the other side the gap between the bed and the dresser (no drawers), was only wide enough to walk sideways. The bathroom was equally compact, the gap between the toilet and the wash basin was so small that in order to sit on the loo, you had to shuffle in sideways and rest your arms and head on the sink.

Basic but clean

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: The price
Cons: An extra pillow would have been nice
Location: Quite a bit of road noise
Decent value for money and not too far from the drinking (€8 in a taxi or a 25 minute walk. Not too far from the train station (again a 25 minute walk).
