"Airport hotel" is nowhere near the airport!!!

Pros: Room was comfortable
Cons: Breakfast, Breakfast staff, CHEF!
Location: Nothing nearby. Asked for a ATM and was offer Sat Nav coordinates to get to it!!!
Advertised as the airport hotel, misleading as the location is in the middle of nowhere. Taxi to Dusseldorf is 50 Euro, taxi to airport is 40-50 Euro. Breakfast is NOT value for money. Lack of choice, Juice machine did not work, so fresh orange juice is warm. Warm items were not replenished until asked for - and new scrambled eggs were simply poured into the bowl where the crusty old scrambled eggs were and mixed in! When seated for breakfast no new pot of coffee supplied, we were expected to drink the jug left by the people who have just left the table!! Overall not impressed by the misleading hotel description ie. NOT near airport and poor-average breakfast which costs 12 Euros per person!!! 2/5

It is true that our hotel is 13km far from the airport and conveniently situated for motorists because almost all key destinations of our region like fairgrounds (Essen and Duesseldorf) or cities (Dusseldorf, Essen, Duisburg) are quickly to access. The Dusseldorf International Airport is easily accessible by our hotel shuttle. I have to apologize for the bed breakfast service – it is absolutely unacceptable. Zentral zwischen DUS und Essen

Die Betten sind nicht die bequemsten jedoch sind die Zimmer geräumig. Parken kostet extra. Frühstück war ok, jedoch für 15 EUR etwas überteuert. Öffentlich kommt man nur schwierig zum Hotel, daher ist ein Auto Pflicht.

Airport stay

It is a bit out of the way from the airport, but the value of the stay is good. Only item is the pay for the hotel shuttle- the hotel is 10 km from the airport and the shuttle cost is half of the taxi cost. The staff and food at the hotel are excellent- I can't say enough about the staff : very attentive to the travellers needs.

Problème majeur ; Il n'a pas été tenu compte de ma demande express d'obtenir une chambre aménagée pour PMR ce dont il n'a pas été tenu compte.En effet je me déplace en fauteuil roulant.Résultat la salle de bains m'était innaccessible

Goed en net hotel. Hotel is makkelijk te bereiken van de snelweg. Ideaal voor overnachten wanneer de je volgende dag moet vliegen vanaf dusseldorf.

Business trip

Pros: Clean & tidy
Cons: Staff need to focus on the customer and not themselves. Maybe as its not there job they thought it didn't matter. Remember who pays your wages!!!
Location: Not a lot going on at all. Heavy with traffic during rush hour and takes forever getting to & from the airport during rush hours!
Flying visit to Dusseldorf but couldn't get a flight out that night so needed a hotel under £100! They call it an airport hotel but its a little too far out for that. Needed to drop a hire vehicle off so that was a pain. Took me ages to check out as there was a queue yet managers and staff came from the back office and just ignored the queue of people. Didn't seem in any great hurry and doesn't set a very good impression.
