Decent hotel close to the station!

Posted Apr 12, 2017
Pros: Closer to the train station
Cons: A new face-lift to the hotel
Location: Train station, Altstadt (Old town), plenty of restaurants near Ostrasse
The main positive aspect of the hotel is it is close to the Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof (train) station. The entrance to the hotel looks sparkling as in the photos, but don't be fooled by it. The reception staff were friendly, however the locks to the room needs to be upgraded as they still use typical keys with the keychain being the room number. They advise you to handover the keys every time you go out, so in case you lose them when you go out the person that gets the key don't get into your room. The rooms as such were not great, they have old furniture and the beds were not very comfortable. The shower unit is so tiny that a person that is averagely built finds it difficult to move around and have a proper shower. However, if you're not much bothered about the presentation and just looking for a place to sleep, and closer to the town then this hotel is a good choice, else you can choose other hotels in the same area that are much better and probably within the same price range

Budget Hotel, Not 4*

Posted Mar 17, 2017
The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast disappointing for the price, bacon and eggs were cold. Hot water for tea was just warm. The hotel is near the train station, which is not the most desirable end of town. Basically, you get what you pay for.

Cons: having a fridge in the room would help, also the lamp on the table is missing
Location: great location, 3 min from the station, center city
stay was ok for three people. The room happened to be much smaller than on the fotos. The was a strong smell of fragrance in the room. opening windows helped. the carpet seems to be old and not cleaned

Romantic holiday

Posted Feb 10, 2017
Pros: Very clean and comfy. Very convenient location close to the railway station and at reasonable distance to the Old Town and the river.
Cons: Hard to find the room, Slow internet
It has got good location. Very close to public transports and restaurants, within 10-20 minutes walking distance to all main amenities- There wasn't any tea or coffee at the room. Slow internet is a big problem. Very cousy and comfortable beds! Good for sleeping!

Great location, 2 minute walk from station, basic accommodation but fit for purpose as a base, 10 minute walk to the main shopping area and bar area

Really nice staff and helpful. Relaxed vibe. Rooms a little dated Sadly Wifi connection is really bad unless in the lobby. Overall Liked it 👍

handy hotel

Posted Dec 30, 2016
Pros: good value
Cons: it was good for an economy room
close to the station and a pleasant walk into the city, although the old town is a good walk away. the hotel staff were helpful and all spoke good English, which was helpful. our room was away from the front of the hotel so it was quiet.

Convenient location, maybe not the nicest area, but it was ok. Room was great, bed comfortable and breakfast was good.
