Very convenient for the Train StationPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Good location for the train station and tourist spots.
Cons: Adding air con to the rooms would allow the windows to remain shut and greatly reduce noise levels at night.
Location: The Altstadt (old town) is just over a mile away, as is the Rhine Tower and Konigsalee (kind of like Rodeo Drive) is a 10 mins walk.
Flying into Dusseldorf Airport, the S Train has a platform below McDonald's in the Arrivals Hall and when you buy your tickets at the machine on the platform, you will have to specify Dusseldorf Hauptbahnof. For me, the wife and 2 kids it came to 15 Euros one way. Walking out of the station, cross the road and follow the pavement southwards and then round the bend and you're at the hotel - 5 minutes away! It is neighboured with plenty of restaurants, take-aways and convenience stores so you don't have to worry about booking meals in the hotel. Check-in was quick and the room was massive. It had a safe for valuables but no fridge or air con so we had to keep the windows open but that meant listening to the traffic (and party goers) going past all night - not the best recipe for a good sleep. There was also a TV but you only get local German channels, but it did have an USB port (I didn't have a memory stick to try this, so can't comment). I ordered extra pillows and the staff came round within 10 minutes and I found everyone working there to be polite and proficient and spoke very good English. The hotel is quite centrally located, so I found most Tourist places (Altstadt, Konigsalee and the Rhine Tower) within walking distance just be aware there are jay walking laws with on-the-spot-fines. Check-out was even easier and took me about 2 minutes (handed over the key and after a few clicks of the mouse, I was able to leave), simples!

Good location but short on comfort.Posted Oct 5, 2015
Cons: Better windows for noise and window covering for light. Clean the grout in the bathroom.
Location: Düsseldorf HBF about a 5 minute walk, Old Town about a 15 minute walk.
The hotel is very convenient to the train station and to about a 15 minute walk to old town. There is no AC in the room - which would not be a problem if you could open the windows at night. The activity and noise late in to the night just outside the room prevented us from keeping the window open - the room became stuffy. Even with the windows closed there was a lot of noise; waking us up a few times. The window coverings did not stop the light from the outside street lights - it was pretty bright in the room throughout the night. The bathroom appeared to have mold on several spots on the grout on the shower wall. Staff was friendly, location was good - I would not choose this hotel again or recommend it to a friend.

FurchtbarPosted Sep 30, 2015
Das Hotelzimmer war sehr dunkel zum Hof. Ab vier Uhr nachts konnte man nicht mehr schlafen, wegen der Tauben. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr unhöflich.

Functional hotel near train stationPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Handy for the station
Cons: Reasonable pillows with some support would be nice.
Location: Probably 15 mins walk to old town where all the best bars and restaurants are.
Ok hotel. Room nice and spacious but bed a little hard. Pillows were paper thin and had trouble obtaining additional ones. Staff fairly friendly & welcoming. Door was locked on return one evening with a sign saying 'back in a few minutes'. Once let in we then had to wait for best part of 15 mins while 2 sets of customers checked in order to obtain our room key (which you leave at reception). Overall ok, but hard to enthuse about.
