Close to Dulles

Pros: Service, Service, SERVICE!
Location: Very close to malls and good eating
This hotel was AWESOME! The staff went over the top to help us with questions, billing issues, room comfort (we stayed multiple days) and shuttle to and from airport. Great folks and the breakfast was pretty good too. I will stay there again when we return next year.

Nice hotel

The chick in was fast, the location of the hotel is near the airport and great, the staff are friendly.

Pros: the staff
Cons: the heating system.
there was a roach or two that greeted me during my stay but the nice staff made up for It I guess. wasn't able to set the heat to a temp so it was a guessing game all night, even on low I got so hot I could barely breath.

ok hotel, not a bad price

I thought I was reserving the Comfort Inn Washington Dulles International on Elden Street. Instead, through the system, I ended up with the Comfort Inn and Suites Airport Dulles Gateway. My bad. Although that is one reason again to not combine my air fare and hotel (I have not done that before and now I know why I will not again). I am not clear as to what happened, but I thought I clearly had marked the Comfort Inn. Something to do with the software? The heat was not working. The rate was fine.

Pros: location near the airport.
Cons: Attention to details
I found out that the remote in my room did not work, there were not spare batteries to replace. An offer was made for me to move to another room, it was nice and big, but it had a door adjoining to the next, and there was couple that was chatting loudly next door to where I could hear everything they were saying. Luckily, I was there just to observe if I liked the room. The TV was working and the room was likeable in every manner, but I did not want to have myself in a situation where I would listen to other people's conversations. So, I opted to remain in my room which was private and quieter in comparison. So, I went without TV. In the morning I arrived at breakfast, at nine thirty in the morning. That is a whole 30 minutes before the closing of the breakfast stipulated time. There was no youghurt or fruit available. Otherwise the breakfast was ok, and the staff was helpful, as they were in the instance above. I have already visited some of the hotels nearby, because I like the location and convenience of access to the airport, but I am sure for an additional ten to fifteen dollars I can stay in a much better place with a little more care to details. How is it that no one knows the TV is not working? And how is it that there are no substitute batteries? The hotel is advertized as non smoking, it sure smells more like a smoking place. Not in my room but in the general area near the escalator, and it could possibly be that people smoke just outside the door close there.

Hotel right on the highway, but signs are needed.

Hotel actually quite despite being only 2 miles from an international airport....easy access once learned, breakfast really good and fresh...loved that sausage and waffles...rate was decent

Nice Enough 2-Star Hotel

Pros: -- Room was clean and well kept. -- Nice coffee service. -- Nice breakfast. -- Close to Sheetz for food. -- Bathroom was also clean and tidy
Cons: Outside of cleaning up the butts, not sure what could be improved... Most of the my issues go to the nature of the building and age of the property.
Location: Reasonably close to Herndon and Dulles Town Center, however if you are not looking for a pre/post flight airport hotel, keep looking.
This was a nice enough 2-star hotel, however it advertises higher. The staff was nice, if a bit busy. Efficient and welcoming. The exterior was unremarkable. Some cigarette butts around the entrance. The room was a bit disappointing and dated: -- Low water pressure -- Cracked and repaired sink basin -- Security bale on door was broken -- Toilet did not properly flush -- Soap bar could not have been smaller -- Mounting frame for TV was too big and extended past top and bottom of TV -- Bed was a bit soft to my preference, but that happens.

Helpful even at midnight

A free shuttle from the airport very friendly and efficient night time reservations clerk, a really nice breakfast and everything was easy and convenient. The rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable. I feel I got a bargain
