They had our room ready which allowed us to check in early - appreciative of that for we were in town early. Pretty basic, but had everything needed and was clean. Busy weekend with skiing, so lots of little feet could be heard running the halls - not the hotels fault but rather inattentive parenting. Pleasant stay.

The pool was nice and warm so my kids were able to enjoy it for a good amount of time. Breakfast was good and the attendant did a good job keeping cleaning and restocking the breakfast area. The check in ans check out were fast. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Will never book Expedia again

Arrived to a different room then we booked, staff were rude and unhelpful. They said because we booked through Expedia, rooms can change last minute. We did not have what we paid for and the staff was super rude about it. Won’t be back to either the hotel or booking site.

I sincerely apologize that you did not get the room type that you reserved. Marriott Platinum members are able to bump room types, just like elite members through delta or one of the airlines can bump you from your seat and you may or may not even be on the flight you booked. I'm glad we could upgrade you to our largest room, and I hope you enjoyed your visit to Duluth.

New upgrades but...

Pros: New decor, pet friendly.
Cons: New mattresses and pillows
While this hotel looks like it recently upgraded carpets and decor. They desperately need new mattresses and pillows. The tub drain was extremely slow and the dust on the curtains was disgusting. We paid way more than usual per night during Thanksgiving weekend. This hotel is pet friendly and had a pretty decent breakfast (although the room was quite small); 4-cup coffee makers in the rooms and fridge and mic. I would stay here again if I had to but it's not going to be my first choice. We stay in the Duluth area at least 7 times a year.
